I'll try to get my character sorted out over the weekend.
Been a little busy in real life, as you know from MoN.

I've pasted text from the final page of the website to the character thread.
I really like the character gen system for this game.
Raiko wrote:I'll fill in the appearance and personality before we begin playing, and might tweak one or two other bits slightly.
Not sure about the the two optional languages, I wanted one archaic language and one modern commonly spoken one.
I don't remember specifics of the setting particularly well, as it's a few years since I read the stories.

I’ve got a character (fairly civilized falconer) but need to transcribe it for use here...

Mr Handy, your character is already done (only thing missing is the story of ypur char, it's one of the options).

When I used the character creator, I had a choice between Story and War Story, and I chose War Story. I don't think there's a way to get both.

Oh, right then.
Post your character in the finished characters and we can start!

Do we need to choose at least one common language so that we can understand each other?

Re: OOC

by kabukiman
No, because since Mr Handy speaks Aquilonian and Corynthian and yoyr character and Raiko's character speak Brythunian and they are all related languages, I consider that you understand what you are saying, even if with some dificulty.

Is the momentum only usable by one character?

I'm not planning to use any, as I'd rather not risk another 20, but I greedily used both last round.

Re: OOC

Each dice of momentum created is put in a pool that can be used by any player of the group.
So, if the group earn 3 dices, you can split by the group (one for each), OR one of the players can use the 3 (but no more than 3 dices).
Does this ansered the question?
And yes, in Conan a lot of "20's" seem to appear.

Yes thanks.

I'll post Mouse's next action later this evening.
@Aine, I won't be using the momentum die, I'll roll 2d20.

Sorry, the new dice procedure has me confounded. Has it gone from here and now we have to use Orokos? In which case I’ll use real dice or my phone dice roller as Orokos seems too long winded and off-site too.

Ok, no problem. Mr Handy told me that a new solution was to be implemented, until then, use the system that you are more confortable.

Yeah, the dice roller went away with the upgrade. Apparently it wasn't compatible. Carnage_lee is looking into a replacement that looks better.

I usually ask this at the middle of the game, but I completly forgot.
Are you enjoying the game? Any changes you like?

Re: OOC

Posted: Tue Mar 30, 2021 6:25 pm
by Mr. Handy
Yes, I'm enjoying the game. The only thing I'd change is that we don't really know much about the rules, such as when we didn't know how damage works. It might help if there was a summary of the rules in its own thread.

Thank you!
Can you put all this threads in the same place, so I may open a new thread with the name of the new adveture?

Re: OOC

by Mr. Handy
You're welcome! You can open a new thread here any time you want, regardless of other threads present here. Do you want me to create a subforum in this forum for the other threads? If I do, as Keeper you'll be able to move threads between them as you wish, but I could do it for you if I knew which ones you wanted to move. I think we can just keep using the same OOC, Characters, and Rules threads throughout all the adventures. The only one that might need to be moved is the story thread for the last adventure, but it should also be okay to just leave it where it is.

Tomorrow we will start the game. One of the elements of the conan game's is the existence of a patron: someone who will employ you in missions. And your patron will be a character that I played in a campaign...

Oh yes. Thank you :). It’s the first time I’ve ever dungeon crawled as a player.

Thank you, I'm having fun too. I'm enjoying playing as a rogue.

Re: OOC

Well, to be honest I don't.
First time I played the games (as a player), me and and the others players had really great fun. But our GM didn't. We had a second game that we loved too and our GM said that was his last game because he hated the rules.
The problem is that the rules are a mess. The 2d20 works very well (simple and elegant) but the rest don't. Many rules are not were they were supposed to be, or are spread in different pages or simply don't exist so I must invent.
The scenarios suffer of the same problem: they are noce to read but have too much plot holes that I must solve or improvise, and things that are actually contradicting themselves. The contrast is even bigger because I am mastering the other campaign of the 2 serpent heads and I can see the difference.
So they won't be a third scenario.

Re: OOC

I'm not familiar with the rules, so I hadn't realized there were problems with them, and you're filling in the plot holes in the scenarios well enough that I hadn't noticed. It's okay if you don't want to run another Conan scenario.

Well, the scenario is finished. I hoped you enjoyed.

Thank you, it was fun!

My character was inspired by Sabalom Glitz from Doctor Who, who appeared in The Trial of a Time Lord and Dragonfire, played by Tony Selby. He can't wait to spend all those grotzits.

Another blast, thank you! I enjoyed the mini dungeon crawl. Tuya will make sure Servius doesn’t spend all those grotzits at once. Did we get to keep the ring and was it magic?
