IC-Attack of the Nazi Zombies(Jimmy/Wallace/Bo/Gary/Kim)

The truck stop is in a shambles. Many survivors remain, and the Air Force has arrived to take control, but are they more trouble than they're worth? Other survivors have scattered in various directions. Four have reached Warren Air Force Base, but it may not be as safe as it appears. Others are in the skinheads' compound, fighting desperately for their lives. Still others are in a secret underground facility full of mystery and peril. And a small group winging its way to Omaha in a helicopter must land at an airfield to refuel. The fate of the world may depend on them, but will they survive to reach their destination?

In the warehouse-
Kimberly reloaded her shotgun to replace the two shells she had fired, and Bo did likewise with three shells.

Jimmy retrieved the shotgun from the skinhead that Luke had killed, who hadn't had a chance to even fire. It was a pump-action shotgun, fully loaded with five shells, and the dead man had another ten in his belt pouches that Jimmy claimed. He also had a 9mm automatic pistol, two spare magazines for it, and a switchblade on his belt, so Jimmy took those too.

Kimberly nodded at Gary's statement. "You're right, let's keep moving," she said. "It's too bad about Luke, but there's nothing more we can do for him. We can still save those girls, though. Bo, you take point. I'll be right behind you." The group headed for the stairs leading down.

"Did you hear that?" whispered Wallace. "Sounds like moaning, from behind us."

Kimberly looked back and gasped. Behind them, Luke sat up, his eyes red with hunger...

As if that weren't bad enough, there was a sudden rumble and shaking of the ground below, as if a minor earthquake had just occurred.

Having taken point and being on his way towards the stairs going down, Bo is intent on reaching them and letting the others deal with Luke. Besides, shooting with the shotgun past the others is not a good idea. He keeps the single barrel shotgun dead center at the stairs while closing in the gap. "Let´s move on guys!" As he gets closer his mind plays back the last few seconds. He tries to shrug the memories off....

In the warehouse-
Kimberly and Jimmy whirled and fired their shotguns at Luke as he rose, Jimmy screaming in terror. KImberly's blast sailed right over his shoulder, but Jimmy managed to hit him in one leg while Gary's rifle shot struck his other. Wallace fired his rifle as well, striking Luke in the center of mass.

Luke didn't even seem to notice. He lurched forward, fumbling at Gary as he bit him in the side. An intense agony shot through him.

Bo started down the stairs as he heard the gunfire and scream behind him. It would take him a while to get down them if he wanted to continue.

Finding himself in the stairwell, Bo continues downwards. He sticks to the hope that the other three will be capable to ward off the threat. That, and his dwindling sanity might be making Bo Richards a less courageous man than he ever has been. He comforts himself by gripping the shotgun tight and aiming down the barrel while descending.

OOC,Yes, you can target the head in melee. When in melee with a zombie, that results in only a -5 penalty, as zombies don't defend themselves. Since that roll hit anyway, I'll count that as a head hit. Everyone, please roll Spot Hidden. The base skill is 25%.
On the stairs-
Bo kept heading down. He was almost to the landing about halfway down the first flight of stairs.

An instant later, Jimmy blasted it in the chest with his own shotgun, knocking it back a little but otherwise not doing much damage. Wallace's mind was almost shattered, but he didn't really understand what he was seeing. Instinctively he raised his rifle and shot it in the torso as well, though that was no more effective than the shotgun had been. Finally, Gary swung his rifle butt at the zombie's shaved head, missing narrowly. It fumbled toward him, but he eluded its grasp.

Then one of the other dead skinheads at the top of the stairs, the one that had had its arm blown off, rose unsteadily to its feet. The severed arm too began to twitch, its fingers flexing.

Gary has a tenuous grip on reality right now. He knows this can't be real but he also can't quite bring himself to wake up from this nightmare and so he continues to swing at the head of the undead.

In the warehouse-
Gary bashed in the dead skinhead's skull with the butt of his rifle, and he fell just as easily as Luke had.

With the one-armed skinhead in Wallace's face, Kimberly and Jimmy did not fire their shotguns for fear of hitting him by mistake. Wallace also could not bring his rifle to bear at such close range. Instead, they tried in vain to bring it down by bashing it with their long guns. The skinhead's gnashing jaws fell far short of Wallace this time, but it incredibly managed to wrap its single arm tightly around the truck driver's chest and began to crush him.


The rolls above were made with the old dice roller, and I can no longer see them. Since I don't know what you rolled, I'll roll again for Gary.

As the dead skinhead wrestled Wallace to the floor, Gary tried to bring the butt of his rifle down on its head, but they rolled at the wrong time. Gary accidentally brought down his rifle butt on Wallace's right leg with a sickening crunch! Walalce gritted his teeth and somehow managed to keep from blacking out from the pain. Kimberly and Jimmy again tried to bludgeon the dead man to no avail. As the one-armed corpse squeezed Wallace nearly to death, he desperately raised his own rifle's butt and crushed the dead man's skull with it. The cadaver's grip slackened, and it lay still. Bo finally reached the top of the stairs and entered the warehouse.

"I think my leg's broke," groaned Wallace. "I can't handle those stairs, I'd only slow you down. I'll guard your backs. Go on down there without me and save those girls."
