The dead have begun to rise, but they are not the only problem. A small group of survivors at a truck stop in southwestern Nebraska must contend not only with zombies, but with internal division, a nearby group of heavily-armed skinhead survivalists, and even more horrifying dangers. Can they overcome their differences and survive, or will they join the ranks of the living dead?
"I don't know. By my count, there were three or four left. I know that we heard some gunshots but who knows if that means the infected got shot or they caught the people shooting. Jim says. "Let's go in slowly and check it out."
Looking at Tony carrying the lamp, he offers the rifle. "You know how to use this?"

"Thanks," Tony tells Jim, willing to take the rifle if the man offered. "Never fired a gun before, but it can't be that hard, right? Just point and shot. Pow Pow!" He mimes. "Besides, my son Scotty killed one of these infected people earlier with a gun, and he's only 11."
He's a bit annoyed that Mitchell refuses to go first. Wow, what a coward. He thinks, blissfully ignorant of the irony of it all. And truthfully he'd not want to go in either, but he was fond of theFoo's. He steps into the doorway cautiously.
"Hello? Foo-San? Mrs.Foo? It's Tony Lantham. You guys doing alright?"
Jenny paces up and down "This will sound stupid I don't want to be anywhere near the chaos outside right now, but I hate not seeing whats going on... ".
Samantha says, "Look, there's three of you, should be enough. I'm going back upstairs to do a patrol round. I want to check that there's no more coming in." Anything outside is better than being indoors with a zombie in her mind. She squeezes back past the truck and heads back upstairs.
Mrs Foo raises her pistol and then lowers it in relief as she sees Tony and Jim. "Oh my word, it's you Mr Latham! Good, quick you come; Mr Foo he need help. You step over squishy dead people, I fetch first aid kit!" She points over the pile of zombies in the doorway to the private room and then turns to retrieve the first aid kit from under the front desk.
Samantha bounds up the stairs, checks her rifle and then looks out across the field and then to the north. She will keep walking East if she sees nothing untoward.
"He's injured?" Tony says with concern. "Wait here; I'll go get my wife." He runs out of the motel, screaming for Cathy. "Cathy, we need you down here!"
10:32 AM In the motel lobby- Ms. Foo retrieved the first aid kit and returned to the private room as Jim reached the lobby.
In the private room- Ms. Foo arrived at her husband's side with the first aid kit, but there was nothing more she could do for him until someone else got there to help him.
In the motel kitchen- Mitchell remained in the kitchen, guarding the back door.
Behind the motel- Tony emerged from the back of the motel in time to see Samantha go up the northwest stairs.
On the motel balcony- Samantha reached the top of the stairs and got onto the balcony. From her current position, she couldn't see anything unusual except for Cathy coming into view to the east.
In the upstairs motel room-
"I'm coming!" called Cathy, hurrying out the door onto the balcony. "Stay put, boys!" she added to her children as she ran to the northeast corner.

"Young man!" Mrs Foo instructs Jim. "Mr Foo he fight zombie, now he needs help. Here is first aid kit. You mind sword; it very sharp!" She lifts Mr Foo's sword out from where Jim is about to stand on it and puts it carefully on the desk next to the computer.
Samantha walks quickly to the Northeast corner with her rifle. "I think it's clear downstairs for now." She says as Cathy passes. She looks out across the carpark and beyond.
"It looks like you already bandaged it. Let's wait for the nurse to get here. I'm afraid I'd do more harm than good."Jim says in reply to Ms. Foo. "What's this radio setup? Was your husband in contact with anyone that knows what's going on?"
