On the highway-
Luke kept going, and he was now only a quarter of a mile from the truck stop. He could see an orange-red glow coming from that direction, but he couldn't tell what it was.

Luke was now only a couple of minutes from the truck stop, but he couldn't make out the details yet.

Luke was getting very close now, close enough to see that the glow was caused by two columns of flame and smoke rising into the sky from the truck stop. "The pumps!" he cried. "They must have blown them up!" He has to wonder if anyone is still alive there.
