The last significant episode of seismic activity in the region of Barnard's Rest occured on the 11th March at 11.40am. I have insufficient information to determine whether this was cryovolcanic in origin.'

“I’d like data on the frequency and severity of all tremors for the last twelve months please.”

Assuming CENTRAL can wirelessly send data to Kiara’s device (I guess she has a tablet or pad of some kind).

Sam unpacks her things in her quarters if there's enough time before the meeting.

Kiara scrolls through the data as if it were a child’s reading primer. Clearly she has inherited some of her family’s brilliance!

Kiara,The seismic activity data suggests increasing severity and frequency of seismic activity from the beginning of the year up until around three months ago where it starts reducing again. There is an unusually regular pattern to the tremors, one that doesn't appear natural. Looking back beyond a year shows that prior to eighteen months ago there was no appreciable seismic activity recorded. The colony does not have a widely deployed array of sensors but Kiara reckons she could use the recordings from Barnard's Rest and the pumping stations to try and work out the epicentres of the tremors. Either by getting CENTRAL to calculate these for her (roll Computer Use) or using her datapad and calculating it herself (roll Science (Physics)).

Kiara gives the necessary requests to CENTRAL.

Kiara,Within a few seconds of submitting the code, CENTRAL transmits the result of its calculations back to Kiara's datapad. It is clear that all these tremors originate from an epicentre on the far side of Ligeia Mare. If you look at the colony map ([url]https://www.callofcthulhu.org.uk/pbp/viewtopic.php?f=472&t=7144[/url]) it is located in the top left hand corner just beyond the terrain visible on the map.

Kiara frowns, noting how the epicentre if the tremors seem far removed from the pumping stations, thus discounting her theory that the increase is due to the machinery.

“CENTRAL, please send me a log of any company activity and sensor logs around these co-ordinates,” she says, giving the co-ordinates of the epicentre.

CENTRAL does not respond.

Draped across a grey couch in the communal area of her suite Isabella addresses the computer, 'CENTRAL, can you arrange a meeting for us all with Administrator Kingsley?'

'Systems Engineer Garcia, I have confirmed a meeting with Administrator Kingsley in his office on the 11th March at 12.15pm' replies CENTRAL, repeating this to all the other investigators in the other rooms.

Security Officer Tyson arrives at 12.10pm to escort the team to the top floor of the administrative complex. Everyone goes except for Ling Li who says she's only here to fly the shuttle.

They enter a large officer foyer where a middle aged woman sits behind a desk, she is in her early forties and has brown hair lightly streaked with grey and cut into a fashionable bob. Her nameplate reads 'Stacy Hennecker'. 'Hi Stacy, can you let Kingsley know the investigation team are here for their meeting.'

She smiles and presses an intercom button on her desk and then shakes her head and presses another. “I’m not used to him being in the new office yet,” she says by way of apology. A gruff voice comes over the intercom indicating he will be two minutes.

As the investigators wait Tyson sits on the edge of the desk and starts talking to Stacy in hushed tones.

Fidgeting slightly, Kiara also waits. She is unable to make out what Tyson and Stacy are whispering about.

Initially unable to hear, Nicole edges a little closer to the desk, attempting to overhear what Tyson and Stacy are saying.
