Crowley:

Crowley ushers everyone in through the entrance to the central corridor. "The corridor is pretty acceptable, other than the smell, so by all means step inside." He still has his Webley drawn and carefully pointed at the ceiling.

"I found a dead man sitting on a can of kerosene in the storeroom. In the laboratory is another man, dismembered and decapitated, whose stomach has been removed and placed under a bucket, with a cinder block on the bucket, presumably to stop the stomach making a run for it. Lots of bullet holes everywhere, lots of blood. And I've got some log books for us to look at."

"And I didn't finish exploring before the excitement outside drew me back out."

From the central corridor, Crowley will point to every room he has explored and describe what he saw to his colleagues.

Some repairs need to be done to the base:
the door, the radio, and the heat system.

Caldwell agreed to enter the base.

Crowley:

Crowley heads for the first of the two unexplored rooms. (Whichever is closer or, failing that, the room on the left.)

"Let's just make sure there are no more surprises..."

Harry covers him.

Butch follows Caldwell into the base. He'll keep his gun out to ensure that if there are surprises inside, he's ready to deal with them.

Besides some traces of blood and everything being broken, you don't find nothing else.
The temperature is lowering.

Crowley:

Crowley returns to his colleagues, holsters his revolver, and pulls out the notebook and logbook.

"I know we need to keep warm but the last page in this notebook says something about 'they fear the cold'."

'I don't know who "they" are but there's plenty of cold outside if we need it' says Alex.

[Mr. Handy]

"Let's keep it there," says Harry. "Butch, think you can fix the front door?"

[Snapper]

Crowley:

"I wonder if we could select one room, and make that cold-proof enough we could all survive in it with some heating? We don't necessarily have to keep the whole place warm."

"I'll move the two deceased somewhere better until we can bury them, and the Boche for that matter, but avoiding hypothermia is probably our first objective."

[Mephistophilis]

Alex takes a seat in the corner and unwraps his wound, wincing at the pain. He opens the medical kit and begins exploring the injury.

'So, Marshal, tell us a little more about what has been going on.'

"Let's keep it there," says Harry. "Butch, think you can fix the front door?"

"Sure, lemme take a look at it." Butch goes to the door, pulls some tools out of his vest and goes to work.

Crowley:

Crowley picks whichever bunk or other room looks least difficult to clean. He does his best to either clean up or drag out any items covered in blood. He plugs bullet holes with bits of bed sheet or paper.

With the door fixed, the temperatures stops lowering so fast.

"I told you everything I know. It was all fine at the beggining. And suddenly we were attacked by surprise by some madmen. We didn't expect to find anyone there, we assume the place was empty. The nazis appearing only made everything worst."


OOC: To keep some heating in one room, you need to repair the generator and the furnace (they are in the room with the radio), keep all the heater beside this room turn off. So it's 2 sucesses needed.

Once the door is fixed, Butch heads into the maintenance room and begins work on the generator and then the furnace.

After rewrapping his wound Alex gets to his feet with a grimace. He collects as many cartridges as he can and reloads the shotgun he found. 'So tell us about this city you found. When does it date from, what did you find inside?'

[Mr. Handy]

"Well done!" says Harry. "Let's see if we can reach anyone on the radio."

[Snapper]

Crowley:

Crowley hands Harry the notebook and the logbook that he'd found earlier. "These might help you."

Then he heads off with an unpleasant mission. "Malone, I'm not sure if you want to see this but if you're up for it, you are probably best qualified of all of us to have a look at the body in the science lab. The chap's been sort of dissected. I think."

[Mephistophilis]

Alex balks at the thought but reluctantly says 'Lead on.'

[Snapper]

Crowley:

Crowley heads back into the lab ahead of Malone.

Alex:
The place was the science lab. There is a body, or what is left of it that rests on a metal table. This body has been dismembered and decapitated. The digestive tract has been cut away from the rest and placed under an upturned bucket with a cinderblock placed on top.

Butch and Harry
The lights start working fine. But somehow the place seems more sinister, since you can see all the stains of blood and the destruction.
