Crowley and Malone;

It opens into a corridor that splits the base in two. The interior of the base is dimly lit, and some of the lights are flickering. The generator is working, but is struggling to provide even partial power.
So, first door at the rigth, or the left?

Crowley:

Crowley makes sure the entrance door is wedged open to let in fresh but yet very cold air. Anything to get the smell out. "Is anyone in here?!"

"Well, Malone, as a man of the cloth, of sorts, I'm sure you will appreciate that Latin for left is sinister. So let's start with the sinister side." With no further ado, Crowley opens the first door on the left and jams it open too.

'Lead on' says Alex with his revolver drawn and covering the door on the right while Crowley opens the door on the left.

It was a room, with 4 bunk beds stacked closely together; they have stains of blood. The place was quite small, and the only furniture in wood was smashed, with pieces of cloths. The cold wind enters by holes made by bullets, making a strange noise.

Alex looks around for signs of bullet casings or bullet impacts, trying to figure out if the bullets were fired into the room or out of it.

You hear Butch outside scream about tracks.

Crowley:

Crowley is sufficiently unnerved by events that he draws his trusty Webley service revolver, carefully pointing it at the ceiling.

"Perhaps we should quickly check the other rooms inside then go and see what the fuss is outside? We can come back and search this all more thoroughly later if there aren't any interruptions."

Crowley heads back to the main corridor and opens the first door on the right...

Alex hears Butch's cry and hurries out the room, 'check in there quickly and then I'm going to see what's happening outside.' Alex covers Crowley entering the room and as soon as it is clear he will head back out to Butch, pistol at the ready.

This seems a supply room. Inside,a dead man sits in the storeroom on a can of kerosene.
Kerosene is not something that is usually kept in the storeroom, so he must have brought it in with him. The heater in this room has been turned off, drained, and then hacked into with the iceaxe which now rests at the corpse’s feet. The man still clutches a shotgun in his cold, dead fingers.


OOC: Please, make both a sanity roll; if you fail loose 1d3. Then make a medicine roll or spot hidden roll (your choice).

Alex recoils at the sight, 'What on earth happened here?'

Crowley:

OOC:   Success!

Spot Hidden 60%,[dice]1[/dice]

OOC:   Fail but he's not crazy!

Crowley surveys the scene with a careful "Hmmm" but can draw no conclusions. "I'm going to keep checking the other rooms quickly. Malone, did you want to check on our friends outside, make sure they're not in trouble?"

OOC: So is Malone going outside?

Alex hurries outside looking for Butch, pistol readied and eyes open for any threats.

Crowley arrives at another room: it was the science lab. There is another body, or what is left of it, rests on a metal table. This body has been dismembered and decapitated. The digestive tract has been cut away from the rest and placed under an upturned bucket with a cinderblock placed on top.
Please, make a sanity roll: if you fail, loose 1d3.
After, make a medicine roll.

Crowley:

Sanity 25%,[dice]0[/dice]

SAN Loss,[dice]1[/dice]

OOC:   Crowley will use his Resilient talent to lose 3 Luck instead.

Medicine 1%,[dice]2[/dice]

OOC:   Fail.

Shaking his head at the ghastly horror, Crowley continues searching the interior of the building.

You enter another room with a radio... but is badly damaged. Everything seems actually been damaged in this room (the chair, the table).

OOC; Make a Electrical Repair and spot hidden roll.

Crowley:

OOC:   Fail.

Spot Hidden 60%,[dice]1[/dice]

OOC:   Success.

A logbook and a notebook rest next to the radio. The logbook shows the record of the departure of Starkweathe from Bolling, but does not give his destination coordinates. The entry reads: “1928 - Frozen structures, 360 Min. Comm. Window” and nothing else. The notebook appears to be a personal journal, but the last page contains scrawled messages obviously written in a rush:
“Cannot get through radio not working.” “Ronson holed up in store room…they keep coming, they keep coming…” “Weather outside worse, temperature dropping.” The last, unfinished message, says only, “They fear the cold…”

Crowley:

Crowley collects the two books and stashes them in the inside pocket of his leather greatcoat. He quickly hurries out and continues searching the interior of the building.
