Alex finds the trek through the ice tunnels hard going with his injuries. He stumbles against the walls, causing his pack to rattle and echo down the tunnel.

It's hard to be quiet when you're wearing a tool belt and Butch doesn't disappoint. But it doesn't appear anyone else is particularly quiet either.

Olaf asks you to stop doing so much noise with gestures, but after a while he seems to resign himself,
You come across the entrance to the middle ring. As you approach, you hear the voice of the lone Nazi soldier inside a gatehouse just inside the entrance.
He immediatly screams "Halt" and then says something in german.

'Nicht schießen. Wir kommen in Frieden' shouts Alex as he tries to make out what the German is saying.

OOC:   'Don't shoot. We come in peace.'

OOC,Alex has German 30% which allows 'transactional' communication and he also has the Linguist talent giving a bonus die. So I guess I'll roll - [dice]0[/dice], [dice]1[/dice]

Harry stops and slowly puts his hands up in the air.

Crowley:

Crowley sniffs. "Of all the languages to learn, Malone," he mutters.

The soldier seems to relax a bit and answers something in german to Malone...

Alex gives Crowley a dirty look and continues shouting in German. 'Wir sind eine Expedition der Miskatonic University. Wir untersuchen, was mit einer früheren Expedition der Universität passiert ist. Ich heiße Pater Alex Malone'

Translation,'We are an expedition from the Miskatonic University. We are investigating what happened to a previous expedition from the university. My name is Father Alex Malone'

He turns to the others, 'He wants to know who we are and where we are from.'

Alex shouts a question, 'Wer bist du? Woher kommen Sie?'

Translation,'Who are you? Where are you from?'

[Mr. Handy]

"Professor Harry Smith from Miskatonic University," says Harry, pointing to himself.

Alex,[color=#0000FF]"Americans?[/color] [color=#0000FF]I have orders to stop anyone coming too close, and this place is full of insane enemies. So, don't come near"- says the lone soldier[/color].

'He says he has orders to stop people coming close and that the place is full of 'insane enemies' explains Alex.

'Wo sind deine anderen Kollegen jetzt?' he asks. 'I'm asking him where the others are.'

Translate,'Where are your other colleagues now?'

Alex,[color=#0000FF]"They all run to the tunnel down. Everybody simply vanished in that direction and nobody appeared since then"[/color]

Crowley:

Crowley looks at Malone impatiently. "So is the Boche letting us past or will this end badly?"

Translation,'We're here to find out what happened to the others. Join us and we will help you find your comrades. Safety in numbers!'

'I'm telling the German we're trying to find out what happened to the others and we can help him find his friends.'
