Marshal is at the door, and he is speaking to Malone and Crowley
"You won't believe this, but the place was old. And by old, I mean milions of years. Before humankind existed. And it existed for a really long time. We found samples of fossils of animals of warmer climates, so the city was probably abandoned about 1 milion years ago when the climate got cold. And there were carvings that some of my companions were trying to understand."

Crowley:

"Good Lord, man, you don't want to see this," Crowley cries. "Please wait for us and we'll be back shortly."

Fr Malone looks over the dismembered corpse.

Harry lets Butch deal with repairing the radio, seeing as he's the expert.

Crowley:

Morbidly curious, Crowley takes the cinder block off and inspects under the bin with a magnifying glass.

'How can a city be millions of years old?' asks Alex, trying to keep Marshal occupied while the others repair the base.

"We don't know! The carvings didn't show any human figures. One of archaeologists said that the city had been built by a non human race but that is obviously nonsense; the other theory is that it must have been built by some human subrace that developed earlier than the rest of mankind".

The digestive tract is... normal. Maybe with a microscope you could find something else.

Once the lights go on, Butch goes over to examine the radio to see what needs to be done to get it in working order.

Crowley:

Crowley looks about the lab for a microscope.

Butch finally repairs the radio. There is a lot of noise, but finally they heard the voice of the base of "little america"

"This is Harry Smith," says Harry into the microphone. "I read you, but there's a lot of static, and I can't make out everything."

Harry:
"... everyone...ok? Last message... strange..."


Alex and Crowley:
The cuts on the body pieces are clean, bloodless, and deep, which indicates that the body was hacked apart after it was frozen solid. And you find some very small things that you are sure are not part of normal human cells; like if a small fungus was attach to it.

Alex looks grimly at Crowley, 'They seem to have cut him up after he died, and froze. I'm not too sure why but coupled with that warning that something doesn't like the cold, and evidence of some kind of fungal infection, can I suggest we take the bodies outside.'

"What was the last message?" Butch says to Harry.
