OOC Discussion

6.30pm Thursday 11th March 2010, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England.

A five-year old girl, Regina Balfour, is kidnapped in broad daylight from the Eden Shopping Centre, while her mother’s back is momentarily turned. Left behind is her ladybird shaped backpack, which contained supplies for her insulin pump. She needs her medication to live more than a few days, and her condition will rapidly deteriorate without it...

Discuss anything OOC, like who the hell sets anything in High Wycombe.

I know it a bit, largely I chose it as it sits between London and more rural areas. And why England? Less guns (a bugbear if mine in CoC) and a chance for a folk horror vibe (maybe not in this particular scenario).

When you're composing your post, look below the text window and the Save Draft/Preview/Submit buttons. You'll see two tabs: Options (selected) and Upload Attachment. Click on Upload Attachment. Then click the Browse button to select a file on your computer to attach and click Add the file. Alternatively, if your maps or pictures are on the Internet and you have a URL, you can use the Img tags around the URL to embed a picture in your post.

Ah, so if it says the forum limit has been reached I just need to wait for another day?

I've never heard of that happening, and I don't remember using attachments myself. Maybe the site has a limit on how much space is allocated for attachments, but I've never heard of it. I wouldn't think any space would be freed up by waiting. Your best bet is to find somewhere to host your files and just use the URLs in the Img tags. There's no limit to how big those files can be, since they're hosted offsite.

No problem. We've had no further expressions of interest so once the characters are finished we can start.

No, it’s not displaying the image. I’ve started using Postimage’s, which seems to work ok: https://postimages.org/.

Arse, what a pain, displays fine for me. I'll stick in the URL under images for the time being and investigate an alternative in the longer term.

I still can't see it, even from the link. My computer opens a dialog box telling me it needs to open a file with a .webp extension, but it doesn't know what application to use, and neither do I.

Saw this today, which I thought was pretty neat, a sort of trailer for the scenario:
