Acting on instinct, Sefina makes a ward against evil. Unbeknownst to her, this saves her life.

OOC,Oh, that does look good! One of us needs to actually ascend to Sentinel Peak and spend clues before you can resign, or the clues you carry will be lost. I'll try to get away from this thing and do it this turn, but I'll need you to find that clue first. At least I have a way out of my current mess thanks to Ward of Protection, which I just got. Fast Action: Play Ward of Protection, spending 1 resource. [b]Sefina[/b] takes 1 horror. Cancel Revelation effect of Beyond the Veil. Surge still happens, so I still get Visions of Futures Past. Will test (4 vs. 5[Visions of Futures Past]): [dice]0[/dice] -X, Elder thing. Discard the top two cards of my deck. X is the total cost. No matter what, I'll lose all three remaining cards and get a reshuffle. One of them is Elusive, which i could have used, but I really needed Ward of Protection and got it at the perfect time.

Yeah, Wendy'll get that clue, then Sefina can check out Sentinel Hill. I've got an idea: after the clue Wendy can move and then evade the glob?

OOC,That would be good, but you don't have enough actions. It would take you one action (at least) to find the last clue, another to move to my location, and a third to engage the monster. That wouldn't leave you any actions to try to evade, and you'd be a sitting duck when it attacked. I think after you find the clue you should ascend to Sentinel Peak yourself and spend those clues while you still can, leaving me to try again up to four times to escape. Then next turn you can flee to Base of the Hill and Resign with three actions.

OOC,Did you have an action left to evade? It took one to find the clue at Lost Memories, a second one to move to Ascending Path, and a third to move to Sentinel Peak. There's no direct connection between Lost Memories and Sentinel Peak. What does the Act 3 card say? That should have the victory conditions for winning. I don't fancy my chances of beating this guy in a fight, even with the Switchblade.
