Sorry, the whole board was locked, and I hadn't noticed. I've unlocked it in the Administrative Control Panel and locked the Kingsport Horror subforum. Of course, as moderators/admins, we can post in locked threads and boards anyway.

Android has one:

There is also a web based one:

I've had a change of heart, use both core sets when building your 30 card deck. So you may choose two copies of Shrivelling (card # 60 x2). Give me your deck choices and I'll physically construct it.

Actually, with both core sets we could have up to four players, so you might want to see if anyone else is interested too. I haven't had time to even start reading the rules, so I don't expect I'll have my deck ready until Monday or Tuesday night.

Nah, I want the choice of cards but not the hassle of keeping track of more players--at least not until I get into the rhythm of pbp. Anyway, and unlike the other two games, this plays great with 1 player. I've only played 2 player once. I guess the scenarios will take us a few weeks to play rather than a few months, which is a good thing, I think.

We'll start when you're ready; I'm happy to wait.

I'm reading the Learn to Play booklet, and I'm currently about a quarter of the way through it. I'll just take Daisy's Starter Deck, as that will get us playing faster.

I've finished learning the basics of how to play, so I'm ready to start at any time. Tonight I plan to try out the first scenario solo, or at least make a start of it.

You may take a single mulligan...?

No mulligan for me, that looks like an excellent starting hand. In my first turn, I plan to play Dr. Milan Christopher and then iInvestigate twice. It might be best if you go first, so I can see how many clues you're able to obtain before my turn. If you get one Clue, I can use Deduction to make sure I get three (barring a tentacle result). If you can get two of them, I'll save it for the Cellar (where the Flashlight will also be useful). Daisy's a Clue-finding machine! She'll also be good at Parleying with Lita at the end.

Currently, I'm almost done my solo run of The Gathering with Roland Banks. I've done very well and I just got to Act III, having gotten the Cellar Clues by defeating a Ghoul Minion there and using my special ability and Evidence. I lost my Dynamite Blast to a chill, unfortunately, but I still have two bullets left in my .45 Automatic. I just have to hope I hit with both of them. I also have a Beat Cop in my hand and will have enough Resources to play him next turn if I can't finish off the Ghoul Priest this turn.

EDIT: Well, I almost won. Both bullets hit, and I did 4 damage to the Ghoul Priest. I realized I couldn't play the Beat Cop, since the Ghoul Priest would have hit me with an Attack of Opportunity, so I had to attack unarmed, but I used the Beat Cop for the Combat boost. However, I missed by 1 point. The Retaliate ability caused it to hit me, and then it hit me again during the Enemy phase, driving me insane. If I'd held onto the Dynamite Blast...I still would have lost. I didn't have enough Resources to use it, and taking an Action to get another would have gotten me hit.

Did Roland die? I found that I opted for Resign a lot, especially in the other scenarios.
Daisy's a Clue-finding machine!
She sure is! Skids is no tough guy, but I plan to protect Daisy, and with the dynamite my plan is working out well so far. I'll play Burglary, and then investigate.

BTW difficulty is Standard.

Failing the scenario doesn't kill your investigator in this case, but because I ran out of Sanity I suffer a point of mental trauma, lowering my maximum Sanity to 4. It's tough enough with 5 Sanity; that would make it nearly impossible to survive. I plan to just start over and try again.

Resigning allows you to avoid suffering trauma, but it wasn't even an option in my case. I'd never be able to Evade the Ghoul Priest with only 2 Agility. I did have Manual Dexterity in my hand when it appeared, but I used it to avoid the Grasping Hands that popped up that Mythos Phase. Even if I'd still had it, the odds would have been bad. I was better off fighting it out instead.

Thanks for the offer of protection. Skids is at least tougher than Daisy, though she can probably dish it out with the right Mystic cards. I didn't start with any, so hopefully I'll draw some later.

Sounds good to me. I've activated the dice roller. You can actually do it too, through the Administration Control Panel.

I'll be away at my convention, so I probably won't have time to post until I return. Actually, I'd only take 3 damage if you miss on Backstab, as I'm not a Monster, but it's still better if you maximize your chances of hitting. That will win the scenario all by itself.

Have a good time. Buy more games! Which one is it?

Thanks! I went to Dreamation 2017 in Morristown, New Jersey, and it was a lot of fun! I only bought one game, The Walking Dead: Don't Look Back, which was heavily discounted. The other games that were on sale that I wanted, I already have, and I didn't want to pay full price for other games I'd like. I have such a huge backlog anyway, and I only have limited space to store them, so I don't want to buy too many.
