'Come on Harry, put your back into it, don't let an old man show you up' jokes Fr Malone, coughing into his handkerchief as he works the pump.

"I'm trying," says Harry, working the pump. "I could run rings around you, but strength isn't my strong suit."

Crowley heaves a sigh. "Gentlemen, shall we moor somewhere until daylight? We need to make proper repairs, and make sure we're still on course."

"At least now the porters have mutinied, we can relax. My porters always mutiny at some point. It's the waiting that strains one."

Your boat has lost some speed, but you can still navigate; thanks to the map you have obtained in the tomb, you use some very narrow canals of the amazon, and save several days of travel. You have ventured deep into the Amazon and are almost within sight of the roots of the Andes, but now find yourselves without guides and porters (but with lots of supplies and equipment). And you can still use Higgins’s Journal and the map from the Soldier’s Tomb to find your way to Paititi.
