Miss Coates looks at the both of you with some amusement.

"Aye, be thou off. The fire will be doused and the third wall shall come down anon. 'twould be best for thee if thou art gone by then..."

She blinks and shakes her head, as if just asked a particularly puzzling question.

"Um, I must've lost me train of thought for a moment. Did you just say you were leaving? Well, I hope I was of some service - do call again if you think I can help some more."

She casts a somewhat speculative glance at at Mr. Pritchard.

"Unless anyone would like to stay and model for me..."

"Thank you for your time," says Cynthia. "You've been of great help."

"Well I have to say, that was as clear as mud. Any thoughts about what we should do next?"

"Next we need to find Sam the gamekeeper," says Cynthia. "Now that we have directions, that shouldn't be a problem."

Henry Joseph Lewis III followed the Eton group from the small residence. When they reached the village street he casually presented a small notebook to Professor Garrett.

"This may be of some assistance on deciding your next moves." he announced, paused for a moment then continued, "You see, I was bored, and that nutter of an old woman apparently keeps records of everyone in town. I copied her notes, have a look."
OOC:   The notebook is filled with strange mathematical problems, the last few used pages are where HJLIII copied the woman's notes to.

Using the information jotted down by Mr. Lewis, you discover that it’s only a short stroll to the gamekeeper’s cottage. Thankfully the weather seems to have cleared up a little and the walk is a pleasant one, affording you the opportunity to discuss what has transpired before at your leisure.
OOC:   Before I start the next thread I’m going to take a GM break for a few days. In the meantime, please take the opportunity to collate your findings at https://www.callofcthulhu.org.uk/pbp/vi ... 449&t=7058 :)

Grigori sucks his teeth in uffish thought as he strolls alongside his companions... A Norman devil in chainmail strikes a pose in his mind's eye, before he shakes his head and castigates himself for whimsy, smelling the air of the here and now.
