OOC,William is on the train but Lawrence and Howard fell onto the sleepers between the tracks so they are under the carriages, which are slowing down but still moving forward.
Anyone want to add anything?

It was as well for Willliam that he was so concerned for the fate of his friends that he didn’t look to see where the engine went. The surroundings faded from view and the engine continued on its way, following the tracks into the boiling chaos of space... ...
On the train, William barely noticed as the mirror images of the train peeled away and became insubstantial, flickering and melting away until they disappeared from view. As soon as the speed dropped sufficiently, he leapt down from the train and ran back down the track with Thomas close behind.
The train carriages cleared the bodies of Lawrence and Howard and creaked to halt a dozen yards or so beyond. As William reached his friends, Lawrence coughed and stirred but it was clear that Howard’s life force was extinguished and the young student was no more.
Thomas looked back down the track where a couple of shacks sat aside a crossing. ”I’ll go and get help,” he said in a broken voice and he set off at a shambling run, leaving William standing in the spring sunshine to contemplate the fate of his friends and the horrors they had experienced together... ...

OOC,You're welcome, and thank you for running it. It was a lot of fun. Things looked bad for us, but we managed to come through at the end with some very lucky rolls.

OOC,There's been a lot of wild and memorable moments throughout this small-ish campaign, and I'd say it's been a good time for sure, and I can't wait to play again someday.

It isn’t the end of the road for William and Lawrence, I just fancy running something different for a while.
There’s a story thread I have in mind, which I’m struggling to write at the mo’ but I plan to come back to this at some point in the future.

OOC,Hi all,
I’ve postponed my plans to run Highway of Blood for the time being, so I’m working on the next chapter of our story. Unless there is anything else you wish to add to your current investigation, then I’ll write a wrap-up post with a view to bringing the PCs back to Arkham to see what the fates have in store for them next.
Honeydog - I hope you’re planning to continue. Have you had any thoughts about what sort of character you would like to play next?
