Ch. 11. Paper and Ink

The voice on the phone said, "I understand that you are a friend of my son, James. He has gone missing. I require your assistance in bringing him home again...”

A university student has gone missing. Can his friends find out what has happened to James Frazer in 1920s Massachusetts?

Professor Jackson listened to William and said, ”I’m intrigued. Come to my office at two ‘o’ clock and we’ll see what I can tell you about your symbol. Now, you must excuse me as I need to eat lunch before my next lecture.” Without waiting for an answer, she rang off, leaving William listening to the dial tone.
OOC,A couple of things... 1. Timecheck - It is 12.15pm (approximately). Is there anything you want to do before going to meet Prof. Jackson? 2. You don’t actually have a copy of the symbol, as it faded away. Would someone like to attempt a drawing of the symbol, in order to show the Prof? (I’ve temporarily hidden the image, so try to do it from memory, please ;) )

OOC,This isn’t a in-game skill check, per se. Break out MS Paint and give it a go! ;)

ooc,Nor me, I'm afraid. All I remember is it's green. Interesting challenge Philulhu. Sadly my own art skills never progressed to coloring in the lines-- thanks Dyspraxia. :P So I doubt I'd be of much help anyway.

OOC,Thanks. It occurred to me that if we were playing around a table, it would be the sort of thing that we could do, so I was interested to see how it works virtually. Bullfrog - over to you :)

OOC,While we await Bullfrog’s creative output, is there anything you wish to do prior to meeting Prof. Jackson?

OOC,Behold the symbol, as half-remembered and poorly drawn by yours truly. Or maybe not, as I don't know how to post images here. Edit: image may be finally working.

OOC - Bullfrog,Thanks! :) I think the reason your image isn’t showing is because it doesn’t have a format e.g. .jpg. Can you try posting it again or posting the link and I’ll edit for you.

"No cases like that that I recall hearing about," Alex reports. "It would seem this professor is our best option at the moment. Seeing as Mr. Preston here knows her indirectly, it may be best if we speak to her together to learn more.

Wednesday March 12th, 1930 2.00pm.
R.C. Memorial Hall, Arkham University, Arkham, Mass.

A porter showed them through to Professor Jackson’s office, where the Professor waited for them. A small, dark-haired woman, she greeted them as they entered and invited them to take a seat.

After a round of introductions, she smiled and, looking at them over her half-moon glasses, said, ”Well, how can I help you? A symbol you want me to identify, is that right?”

"That's right," says William. "The original drawing faded, but one of my friends has reproduced it."
