[Raiko]

"Yes," Sam nods and smiles, "Mr. Grey has stayed here quite often when visiting the Carlyle House, if his business takes a few days."

He's a very pleasant guest"

[Mr. Handy]

"You wouldn't happen to have his telephone number, by any chance?" asks Amy.

[Raiko]

Y'know, I think I do. Hang on a sec'.

Sam flicks through the hotel register, "Yep, here we are."

He reads out the phone number.

[Mr. Handy]

"Thank you," says Amy, writing down the phone number in her little notebook. "May I please call him using the telephone here? I appreciate it's a long distance call to New York, but we'd be willing to pay to compensate you."

[Raiko]

"Sure miss, that's fine."

[Mr. Handy]

Amy places her call, hoping that Bradley Gray will be available.

[Raiko]

The operator puts Amy through, a female voice answers with a thick New York accent:

**Hello Dunstan, Whittleby and Grey, Mr. Grey's office. **

OOC:   Another luck roll?

[Mr. Handy]

"Is Mr. Bradley Grey available, please?" asks Amy.

OOC,Luck roll (45% stat) to see if [b]Bradley Gray[/b] is available: [dice]0[/dice]

[Raiko]

**I'm very sorry, Mr. Grey is in a meeting with a client, he's likely to be in for the rest of the day. Would you like to leave a message? Or perhaps I can help you? **

[Mr. Handy]

"Thank you," says Amy. "My name is Amy Lawrence, and I'm a close friend of the author Jackson Elias. Mr. Elias is returning to New York from a trip to Africa where he has done some research, and he has made some discoveries about the Carlyle expedition. Since Mr. Grey represents Miss Erica Carlyle, I thought he might be able to arrange a meeting. He didn't tell my friends and I what he had learned in the telegram he sent, but I'm sure he'll be able to explain everything when he gets into port tomorrow."

[Raiko]

Scarborough Hotel - Scarborough, Westchester County, NY
3:30pm - Wednesday 14th January, 1925

There is a pause as Bradley Grey's secretary takes in the nature of the information Amy has given. Amy notices a shift in her tone as she replies.

**Yes I'm quite sure that Mr. Grey would like to speak to your friend Mr. Elias as soon as possible, Miss Carlyle is a valued client.**

**Did you say that Mr. Elias will be returning to New York tomorrow? Mr. Grey's dairy looks free on Friday morning, I could pencil you in for 9:30 if you like? Jackson Elias and Miss Lawrence?**

[Mr. Handy]

"Yes, thank you," says Amy. "I'm not sure if he has plans for Friday yet, but we can always reschedule if it's a problem. Would it be okay if we brought a few friends along?"

[Raiko]

**That's a bit of an unusual request, but I'm sure another couple of people won't be a problem.**

[Mr. Handy]

"Thank you again," says Amy. "We'll see you on Friday morning."

[Raiko]

**Okay, that's in Mr. Grey's diary now, see you on Friday morning. Goodbye.**

The secretary hangs up.
