Standing up, Harry draws his trusty service revolver, pointing it carefully at the ceiling, and collects his cane with his left hand. He plans to guard the coffin and is watching Faez and his workmen very carefully, particularly ready in case anyone pulls a weapon.

With the cane, he gestures for the coffin to be put back. "Just put that coffin back down for now chaps, until this is all sorted out." Harry says this with a smile but also with a distinct air of command. And with a click-click, he thumbs back the hammer of his revolver.

Also keeping one eye on Faez, Preston moves to the study window and peers outside.

Helena draws her pistol and stealthily followed Reg to try and subdue the man in the mask.

Reg & Helena,Reg and Helena rush after the Inspector and the Colonel, and race down the stairs. They can hear the shouts of the constable who is stationed in the kitchen.
Preston,In the dark, Preston can just about see a figure lurking at the back of the house. The head is a strange shape… He can hear Faez protesting to Harry behind him.
Harry,Faez barks at the men and they put down the coffin. He moves towards Harry, and his face is angry. "We must leave!” he shouts.
Now a loud banging and shouting can be heard from the front of the house.

Dr. Francis Preston

"I can see one of the blighters lurking at the back," Preston reports, turning back from the window. "And it sounds like we're surrounded. Well, Mr. Faez, we know what they're here for. Would it not be better to destroy the thing by any means than to see it fall into their hands?" He has the matches he uses for his pipe ready to hand.

Reg makes his way to the nearest window facing front, pushing the edge of the curtain aside with his rifle barrel and peeking outside.

OOC,To be clear, Harry never pointed his revolver anywhere other than the ceiling, in readiness for the presumed attack from outside. Nor has he otherwise threatened Faez besides watching him carefully, and politely but firmly asking his workers to put the coffin down.

Harry holds his cane out with his left hand to keep Faez at arms length. "Steady on old chap, I haven't pointed a gun at you. But you need to keep your distance now, I need room to move if we're attacked. And we're not going anywhere while those blaggards are outside."
Psychology,Psych roll to figure out what's going on with Faez and his chaps?

The banging and shouting at the front of the house increases.
Harry & Preston,[ooc]You can roll if you like. I amended my earlier post.[/ooc] “I told you! We cannot destroy the mummy in that way!” Faez shouts at Preston. The men behind him stand, uncertain of what to do.
Reg & Helena,There is a constable on duty at the front door. “There’s someone outside here too! I saw ‘im!” he says. “There!” shouts the constable, pointing at something outside the window. [ooc]You can roll Spot Hidden to try to see the figure.[/ooc]

OOC,Yes, please have Helena roll. The posts should all be accurate now - Craddock & Hollingsworth & a constable in the kitchen, Reg & Helena & a constable at the front door, which has windows adjacent to see outside. Harry & Preston are in the study, with Faez and his men.

Reg & Helena,Suddenly a jackal –masked figure looms out of the fog and shambles to the window where Reg is watching. It begins banging hard, as if to break the glass.

Reg backs away about a dozen feet from the window and raises his rifle, taking aim at the jackal-masked man, ready to fire the instant the glass breaks. "Barricade the door with furniture," he says to the constable and Helena. "They'll get in the windows eventually, but it won't be as easy for them."

"No!" says Reg. "All you'll do is make it easy for them to get inside. We need to slow them down, buy some time for the others to eliminate the ones in the back so we can concentrate our forces!" He feels like he's on campaign again, a sergeant major giving orders to a lowly private who doesn't understand the first thing about sound military tactics.

Reg & Helena,The policeman nods uncertainly and steps back. Just as he does so, a powerful force hits the solid front door, hard enough to splinter the frame. The wood buckles. At the same time, the glass where the masked figure is pounding cracks. There is another, even more powerful assailant. The door won’t last for long. “What the bloody hell is that!” cries the constable in fright.
Harry & Preston,Faez mutters a few words in his own language. As Preston moves to the desk the larger of Faez’ two helpers, who is nearest, reaches into his jacket and pulls a huge knife. He makes straight for the doctor. Faez grabs at Harry’s stick to pull him off balance, but can’t get purchase. However, his other hand goes to his pocket and comes out with a small revolver. "Quick, blockade the door with furniture!" calls Reg. "I've got the one at the window." As the soon as the glass breaks, he will fire.
