Isadora advances through the tunnel, with a flashlight in one hand, and the alien weaponry (still wrapped in rags) tucked under her other arm. The musty odor unnerves her, and she ties her scarf to cover mouth and nose. With all these actions, though, she misses what's there to notice...

He did see something unexpected...

"Did you just see that light flicker?" asks Alice, pointing it out to the others. "Maybe it was Albert."

"Probably just out flashlights glinting off the wet rock."

"Yes, I saw it too," answered Owens.

OOC:   Whereabouts?--the tunnel's ceiling, near the rubble, opposite the rubble.

Isadora examines the ruined brickwork: did it collapse recently?

"I think we should take a closer look," says Alice.

The heroes shine their flashlights over the rubble, looking for anything untoward. There is nothing in the pile of bricks itself, but by examining the rock wall they formerly covered, it seems apparent that something from behind the bricks may have forced them to come loose.

Everyone,You can roll Geology about the rock wall. I guess Norman is the only one with a realistic chance at this, but you might get lucky.

"Apologies," said Owens, tearing his eyes away from the tunnel wall which he'd been examining closely. Miss Carmichael, I trust..." but his voice trailed away, "There's a fault within the rock--probably stretches far back. It seems crystalline..." he poked his trowel at it.
