Is it okay to use the quickfire method for 7th ed. character creation?

Not a problem. I'm good with that.

Tobias is fine. Nice rolling on the stats. You left move off, so I added that.

I've only finished going through the first seven chapters to see which skills I've used successfully. I have to go through everything, or I'll never remember which ones they were. I don't know when I'll have time to finish, but I'll roll for increases for the ones I've found so far now. How free am I to determine what happened in the years since the last adventure? I'd like to think Eddie and Alyssa are married and have a family now.

Spot Hidden (55% skill) XP check:
[dice]0[/dice]
Spot Hidden increase:
[dice]6[/dice]
Handgun (60% skill) XP check:
[dice]1[/dice]
First Aid (55% skill) XP check:
[dice]2[/dice]
First Aid increase:
[dice]7[/dice]
Psychology (40% skill) XP check:
[dice]3[/dice]
Listen (55% skill) XP check:
[dice]4[/dice]
Library Use (25% base skill) XP check:
[dice]5[/dice]

Keeper, will it be a problem if I play a journalist from the Bridgewater local? If not, do you have a name for the newspaper?

Re: OOC: Out of Game Discussions

by BenTheRat
@Wruter: That is fine, the 1920s was a time when little newspapers were popping up here and there all over the place, or you can work for the regular newspaper as a freelance journalist. I'm pretty easy going when it comes to that.

@Helpless: If your Str & Dex are = or > than Size then you move 9, If 1 is => then its 8, if neither are then its 7.
Your Str is higher than Size but Dex is less so you move 8.

@Handy: You can continue to work on the stats as we go along. I don't think we should hold up the game. I should have done a better job of marking when you passed a check. As for Alyssa, I think you should talk to the owner of the character. With her losing her memory she may want to go down that path to recovering it. But its been 6 years since Rockport. A lot could have happened. I'm not against it, but I don't feel right agreeing to such a major change on someones character without their consent.

Yeah, I don't want to do that either. Tabs hasn't been around for a month or so, and Alyssa's original player is long gone. For now I can just leave that part of Eddie's background undefined.

I was waiting on wruter to post his character, but tomorrow I'm going to get things started either way.

Wruter, please post your character and a quick intro into the IC thread.

Thanks,
Ben

Great start guys, lets keep it up.

The Dr. Just joined us, and so we have a full game. I think we are just waiting on HoneyDog and the Doctor to state their intentions.

You can stay and study, go with Eddie to the Farm or do something else if you like, just let me know what.

Starting age 50s: reducing con by 10 and app by 10.

3 edu improvement rolls:
[dice]0[/dice]
[dice]1[/dice]
[dice]2[/dice]

No improvement, but it wasn't reallu expected at 90 edu anyway.

Handy, if you are all done with those rolls you put in the Character thread, I'd like to delete those to keep that area clean and easier to reference.

Yes, I'm done with them, but it might be better to move those posts to this thread rather than delete them entirely.

As a reminder if you perform a skill and are not using a bonus dice and succeed. Mark your skill with a + sign to help you remember to roll for these after the scenario.

Do we still mark it if we had a bonus die but didn't need it in order to succeed, or only if we didn't roll a bonus die at all?

Re: OOC: Out of Game Discussions

by BenTheRat
Only if you have no bonus dice. If we were live, you roll all the dice together, so you don't really know which is the bonus or now.

This is just going by the new rules, still learning them.

I'm back, Thank you for NPCing me - I'm satisfied with Porter's reaction to the hound and listening check so I'll wait for another player to chime in.

welcome back, yea since you didn't have a gun, you were just observing. You did NOT go temporary insane because you failed your Int. check. If you passed you would have suffered some insanity.

Feel free to jump right in, don't feel like you need to wait for someone else.

Hey Ben, I think I should drop from this game. I can't keep up with the rate things are posted here and it isn't really fair to you or the other players.

Of course it is your choice, but right now if you don't answer, I just assume you are following the crowd.

It's up to you, but I'm okay with your current participation, I don't think it hurts anyone.

I agree with Ben, the rest of us should be able to keep things moving along. Some rolls only require one of us to be successful, for example.

Okay, I appreciate that. I know you are trying to playtest the adventure and I didn't want to hold anything up cause sometimes I post and look the next day and there are 10+ posts more so I thought I might be slowing things down.

I will try to keep up and if I am ever holding something up and haven't posted in a day or two please just have Dr. Porter do the most logical thing (curiosity permitting) and don't worry how I will react.

The game is interesting and I don't want to slow things down

Crack, I don't think you're slowing anyone down. We are basically just here to have fun (more or less), so I think I'm speaking for everyone when I say that I don't think anyone is too bothered by your pstkf rate. Heck, there's times when even I've missed a step or two. No worries!

Back, Wow we had a great time.

We played 'A Cry for Help' and they thought that was great.
then we played 'Hockomock Hounds' and they really loved this one.

Then we played, 'Flying Terror' but we really didn't have enough time for this one. But we squeezed it in.

OMG, we had so much fun.

Awesome!

That's how many hours of gaming?

It was about 10 hours.

We made these to be about 4 hour adventures. The first was right at 4 hours. The hound one, they played really fast and only took about 3.

With some changeover time etc.., we had about 2 hours to do the last one. We stopped with about 30 minutes left to pack up, say goodbye and head out.

It was a blast.

I think we can all this one wrapped up, thank you guys for playing, and for all the great feedback.

I'll try and start a new game soon.

Until then, Handy, I think we can move the game. Thanks guys.
