With a surge of adrenaline born of sheer desperation, Rosa grabs the seeder out of the man's mouth while keeping him pinned down with the intent of killing the abomination.

Rosa yanks the worm from the man's mouth and repeatedly smashes it against the pavement, it lets out a high pitched squeal the first time she hits it against the pavement but by the time she stops its nothing but a mess of yellow blood and grey flesh.

The enemy dead at last, Rosa goes over to Gavric and tries to revive him.

Sheriff Williams and the other cops arrive on the scene. They begin attempting first aid. "Come on you bastard, you might've saved us all don't go and die on me now."
Its no use. Gavric is going to need paramedics or some other medical professional, and soon.

"See if there's a doctor or a nurse among the evacuees," says Rosa, whipping out her phone and calling 911 to summon an ambulance.

The police gather up all the people they can find, most of them have returned to the shelter, though a couple are still missing. No one has any medical expertise.

There is one lucky break, the phone call to 911 goes through. The few remaining medical personnel are busy on a call about a mad woman with a chainsaw at the dorms, but a group has just arrived from National Guard and they are sending people with first aid training and a vehicle to carry him.

Rosa gives the dispatcher their location and does what she can to keep Gavric stable until help arrives.

Gavric has been severely maimed and continues to lose blood, the haphazard bandages barely keeping the blood in. There's no doubt he'll have permanent neurological injuries if he survives at all. Every second moves so slowly as Rosa watches the life drain out of him, until the sound of a vehicle gets her attention.

A unmarked van pulls into the parking lot, driven by a man in military uniform. The van pulls in next to the school and opens up the back, it has a gurney and some basic medical equipment, a rough and makeshift ambulance. There are two men in military uniform in the back and they access Gavric's condition and attempt first aid, but he's gone so long without treatment he needs to get to a hospital. The men want help loading the two unconscious men into the ambulance as well. They don't state their names though their uniforms identify them as Higgins and Rothham.

Rosa realizes that these men, whoever they may be, are Gavric's only chance for survival, and she helps them load him and the others into the ambulance, motioning for the sheriff to assist as well.

Rosa could follow the ambulance, check on the other agents, or continue on here at the high school. The van will speed off either with Rosa behind or not.

"I think things are under control here," Rosa tells the Sheriff. "Give me a call if that changes. I need to check on the other situation at the University. Can I please get a ride there?"

"Sure thing, the cruiser can get us to the University in decent time" says Sheriff Williams.

"Thanks, let's go," says Rosa, slipping into the shotgun seat as she calls Mike, reasoning that he's sane - at least compared to Sarah.
