"I'll take the shotgun then, " James says, as he lifts it from the wall.

"Not sure trapping that thing inside an animal would work. Bidwell's journal specifically mentioned human bodies. Perhaps we can trap and isolate it, essentially starving it? But first, we need to figure out its current location..."

Ann Veronica picks up one of the knives.

"Then we'll need to trap it inside a person" she says grimly.

Absolom Peredue Somerhayes

“Hmmn” Absolom speaks half aloud almost as if talking to himself, “And how do we trap this thing?” His knowledge of mesmerism is not vast but he is certain that it is not a physical process.
He eschews the weapons preferring to leave that sort of thing to others more qualified

[Victoria Silverwolf]

"Are you sure we should keep it to ourselves?" Diane asks Gordon. "It could be important. As for weapons, I'm not very strong physically. I'd be lucky to cut butter with a knife, and that elephant gun would probably knock me on my back if I tried to fire it. That handgun looks about my size, though."

"As you wish, Miss. I'll leave that to your best judgement." Gordon has never been one to doubt feminine intuition.

[Mr. Handy]

"The cube is the key," says Diane, taking the revolver and any bullets she finds. She loads it and stows it and the remaining bullets in her handbag as she speaks. "That's what enables him - or it - to jump between bodies, and the mumbo jumbo that Bidwell was spouting may have been what activated it. We're going to need to find that cube. After we're done here, we should check out the scene of the crime at the British Museum and see if we can track down that cube."

[Pastiche]

"Yes, let's move to the museum to try and find that cube, and then destroy it for good after we vanquish the entity!" A determined look takes over James's face, now having fully recovered from his nightly ordeal.

[Mister Ginge]

Cecil takes a knife, examing it's edge dubiously.

"I agree. Let's head to the museum as soon as possible. But let's also keep these weapons under wraps, ey? Don't want the Constabulary taking an even greater interest in us than they already are."

[Rooter]

As the party heads back downstairs and through the foyer in order to leave Bidwell's mansion, the psychic Godfrey Williamson heaves himself out of his armchair and joins you, clearly reluctant to be left alone in this house.

Outside, the street is busy with midday traffic, both foot and horse, coming and going. Williamson raises his hand to hail a cab, and a coach gallops forward.

Mr. Copeland you failed to make a move in your post for the turn so I was going to ask you to make a Dodge or Jump roll, which you have now done and failed hence you will be struck unless... Miss Siddons you're clear. If you wish to grab one of the others away from harm this will require a Dodge roll at half chance. Miss Poole has failed to act hence must now make a successful Dodge or Jump roll if she wishes to avoid being struck. Mr. McKerry, Professor Powell and Reverend Somerhayes, making the roll you have at least indicated the intention to move. You may make a Luck roll to avoid being struck.

Eyes widening with the approach of imminent danger, Absolom, showing a speed unlooked for in a sickly clergyman, neatly sidesteps to avoid the onrushing carriage. “God be praised!!” he shouts triumphantly.
