Chatroom

May, 1928. A journalist disappears in the midst of strange goings on in the mountains of Vermont. Was it a simple accident, or something else? A terrifying conspiracy is underway, and it is up to an intrepid band of investigators to stop it before hundreds of lives are lost.

I believe it was still legal to drink, just not to buy and sell alcohol? If you had bought alcohol before prohibition began, you could keep it and consume it.

Don't worry, it's part if a batch of Canadian beer smuggled over the border. Or maybe you should worry, I don't know much about Canadian beer.

Some exploration on the Net suggests Montreal had a healthy beer brewing industry, with French and Belgian styles influencing it, from the 17th Century onwards, so you most certainly could rely on Balzac to bootleg some decent stuff (cf. Molson, O'Keefe, Labatt).

Speaking personally, all the Canadians I've ever met (eh!) seem to enjoy beer as much as us Australians, which I say as a true compliment and measure of the worth of Canada! :)

Let's say then that George had a stock of Belgian Abbey style Tripels for his guests, which were made by a band of obscure Canadian monks. Those things would last a long time. I hope that satisfies the need for beer realism! :geek:

Have a good trip! I suppose you've suspected Mythos activity somewhere, and so are off to investigate it.

innsmouth will be mostly away for the next couple of weeks, and asked me to run Henry. We can keep things ticking along, and I will just make Henry's rolls for him. If you have a good long discussion about what to do while Rooger is passed out, that should take up some of the time.

Damn, you guys took some bad hits. Apologies to innsmouth, I was a bit worried for a time there.

Lesson - never let HoneyDog take over your character. Remember - Rupert is still in a coma in Arkham after being bashed by that hobo.

You better pull yourselves together. がんばっれ!

At least we all failed our Idea rolls and didn't go temporarily insane, and future sightings of the you-know-whats won't be so damaging. Missing a Sanity roll by one point does hurt, though.
