Stogie quickly points to a door already opened, that his team-mates can see. He then points in the direction of each of the two 'new' doors. Then he swaps to his rifle, points it at the vent, then with his off-hand mimes to be quiet then that he will be watching the vent.

Hopefully, the team will be able to put most of the pieces together from there...

Amadeus walks through the opened door and edged away from the vent in silence.

Oliver nods, motioning for Tom to take point.

Tom Major

Tom advances forward, keeping a wary eye on the vent. He moves towards the door furthest away from it, taking up position and signalling to the others to move in. Then he tries the handle to open the door.

Once Tom is in position, Oliver advances silently to join him.

As soon as you're in position, you open the door and get ready to storm the room. It turns out there's no need for violence, as you enter an empty larder. This is the only good news though, as the room is filled with food that had weeks if not months to rot. The stench is simply unbearable, and it quickly fills the other room too.

The stench was too much for Amadeus.

The stench is just a little too much for Oliver, and he feels nauseous.

Stogie grimaces but chomps harder on his cigar and glares at the vent.

Tom Major Tom has smelt worse. He makes his way to the other door, keen to find hard evidence of what has happened in the base.

Oliver and Amadeus fall on their knees, emptying their bowels as the terrible smell overpowers them. Meanwhile, Tom heads to the other door, while Dowson-Frost crosses the room to reach him and give him cover. The two nod to each other, then Tom pushes the door open with a quick kick. On the other side there appears to be just a simple kitchen, fully equipped but abandoned in disarray.

Amadeus just lost whatever remaining shred of dignity left within him.

Oliver retches, trying to recover.

"God, that smells bad..." Smalls complains.

"I don't suppose there's any toilet paper in here?" Amadeus said, gingerly, flicking a few of it out, as he waddled uncomfortably.

Suddenly there are more sounds coming from the air vent. You hear booming sounds, one after the other, of something heavy making his way towards the exit without worrying about making noise. And a more subtle, disgusting sound, like something slimy oozing in great quantity between two moving surfaces. It's getting closer, and closer.

OOC:   Amadeus and Oliver can't yet act in any way, and will need help to move. Without help, they can at best crawl a few meters.

andyw666,It is possible to see most of the room from the porthole, although some sections would be out of sight.

Stogie throws open the door to the mess hall."In here!" He hisses, gesturing for the others to go first. He sights the garand back on the vent.

"I need some help." Amadeus said.

Smalls rushes to help Amadeus, passing an arm under the man's armpits. "C'mon, old man. You can get sick later. Somebody help Oliver, quick!"
