Welcome back!

I've played Cthulhu Dark a few times before at conventions and enjoyed it. The rules can fit on a single sheet of paper (if it's double-sided), so it's very easy to learn. I'm guessing most of the book is taken up by setting and Mythos background information. I met Graham Walmsley at Metatopia a couple years ago, where I was one of the playtesters for a LARP he created where we all played servants at an English country house in the 1920s and 30s, along the lines of Downton Abbey or Upstairs Downstairs. That was a lot of fun and very moving.

I don't have time to update tonight, but I should be able to do so tomorrow night.

I'm planning to join the two threads in a major update, but I don't have time to do so tonight.

Now that we're all happily in the same thread, is it OK to read the earlier threads we were not in, or do they still contain spoilers?

They still contain spoilers. You may be able to learn of these things through normal play. If not, after the entire adventure concludes, you'll be allowed to go back and read all of the threads, including spoiler buttons not meant for your character.

Hi! I'm going on a larp tomorrow, and won't be back untill Sunday. I will not be online, since I'll be in 1958 ;) If necessary, please NPC Brook.

I'll be leaving for a convention myself tomorrow until Sunday night, so I don't expect to be updating anyway. I'm registered for a few Cthulhu Live LARPs there. I'll be visiting the 1950s in one of them, but it's 1955, so I'll miss you by a few years. ;)

Small heads-up: I'll be going on holidays for a bit over 2 weeks, and I probably will have very bad internet, if any internet at all. So, feel free to take over for me if required, but try not to get me killed :-)

Curious to see what will happen with these animal attacks :-)

I just compiled a list of my favourite stories for each TV doctor (1-12 + War). Mainly from TV episodes, but a few from Big Finish audios that did a much better job with certain TV doctors IMHO. May be of interest!

City of Death is not only my favorite Fourth Doctor story, it's my favorite of all time. While The Sea Devils is excellent, my favorite Third Doctor story is Inferno. So many great moments in both of them.

I don't have time to update tonight, but hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow night.

Hi, you mentioned someone had already made a character that needs a player? Which character is that?

Welcome aboard! Yes, the character is Lord Rufus Colville, a civil servant with the Foreign Office. His player never posted for him, so he hasn't done much so far. You can find his character sheet here. If you decide to play him, you'll need to read The Shelter and then Rain of Death, which is the current thread. Please refrain from reading the other In Character threads (except for Introduction, which everyone may read). After the adventure concludes, you'll be allowed to go back and read everything. Once you've caught up, you can begin posting any time you're ready.

If you prefer to create your own character, you should see the Character Creation/Rules thread.

I'm still new to this, I feel like my post should have a persuade, German, or fast talk roll but I'm not sure. Anything formatting wise I need to change?

Your first post is great. There was no need to roll anything at that time, but in the post I'm about to make I'll ask for Psychology and Other Language: German rolls.

Is it unusual for an Air raid warden to be in the shelter? I thought they had to go around checking for lights, reporting explosions, etc. I'm thinking about having my character start taking a bit of an accusatory tone in reaction to fear/disbelief at what he has just seen and heard and wanted to see if that would be a valid observation. Also are Story and his companions wearing normal period clothing? I know what Brook is wearing was noted as unusual by other characters. Or what of what I notice about the other PCs does my character pick up on?

He's only been here briefly. Earlier, he was out looking for lights, damage, and people who needed help. He arrived with Story, Elizabeth, and Brook, whom he escorted to the shelter, which was followed immediately by the arrival of Eugene and then the German. Now that the German has arrived, Eddie would probably be expected to keep him in custody until someone could come to take him away. Story and his companions are dressed oddly, but people have been forced to wear all sorts of unusual things due to wartime circumstances. It's not unusual for women to wear trousers these days, which both Elizabeth and Brook are.

Tell me if I've gone too far with this post, I just thought it would be a interesting and realistic response for my character faced with what he believes is an impossible story. I'll change it if I need to
