Rumours of Crime and War
Most renegade replicants have gone through combat training. It is unlikely that mankind is fighting some alien enemy in the outer colonies.
There are no sign of war on Earth. The planet is dying and we don´t need to speed up the process. On-world governments are keeping a war secret from the public.
A more plausible explanation is that wars between nations and corporations are raging Off-world. That´s why they need more people to immigrate.
NOV, 2010 - "The Tanhauser Incident" A NEXUS-3 combat team stages a bloody mutiny against the Tanhauser Gate colony. The Tanhauser Gate was reclaimed by the enemy, who have held it ever since.
JAN 3, 2011 - The United Nations declares Replicants illegal on Earth. U.N. orders all Replicants on Earth be taken off-world or destroyed within 28 days.
Fight clubs exist for people to let out steam. You can´t go and kill someone. But you sure can beat him up.
