Blade Runner "Tears in rain" starts in 2013

Post by Dave Syrinx »

In January 2013, I´m starting a Blade Runner game over at Obsidian Portal.
I might even co host in here as in my Antarctica 1983 game.

Tears in rain

There’s no chance for us
It’s all decided for us
This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us

Who wants to live forever
Who wants to live forever?

Who dares to love forever?
When love must die

I'm definitely interested in this, but I don't want to have to keep track of another site, so I hope you can run it here.

I probably will. I´m learning some CSS-coding along the way. I´m totally novice in tweaking visuals on webpages. Quite fun, though.
You´re welcome to put on the Blade Runner coat when time comes.
Thanks for retiring that pest who visited earlier...

Till next year!

Thanks, though I think carnage_lee actually got that one. I did retire a couple of others not long after that.

I am also interested as you already know. I would also agree with Mr. Handy that I am hopeful it will be ran here. I think two games I am participating in are dead in the water so that should free up some of my available posting time so I may be able to work in another site but for personal convenience, it would be nice to work in one place. Anyways, we'll see how it goes when the time comes... :)

(I hope it´s not my two games. They are just slow :D )

I´ll most definitely keep the game here. l´ll see if there´s an interest on OP, too.

Sounds good to me and it was close Dave ;) Within the top five......nahh just kidding...

I'm sure I'll experience the intricacies of Keeping when I give it a shot. Sometimes its hard enough being a player with RL always sticking it to you and staying abreast. I appreciate what you kids put on. No, I'm referring to vanished Keepers. Eventually, the Graveyard will have to come...as it does for us all....

Happy Halloween!

Sweet dreams, Pickman27!
Have a goo Hallows Eve to you too.

On the other notes, I guess the CoC-material on OP is quite good. Of the 342 games my Antarctica rates second. (Compared to D&D 4th ed having 13000 games...) Apples and pears and all that.
The BR game has two followers even if it´s not launched yet.
I think it will work great with just two players, but I hope for more when we start.
I have some days off and will try to update the Vertical Run game too.

As for vanishing Keepers, I know what you mean. Although I´ve not vanished yet.
Should you try to run a game, I´ll have a stab at playing it.

Nice pumpkin!

Congrats on the OP stats. When I first scored CoC, I was still forced to play DnD 99.9999% of the time because that was all my group went for back in the day despite my urge for something else. What can you do? But finding this site is a (elder) god-send and I can appreciate your triumph.

As mentioned, I can operate in either site I believe. Been checking with Keepers so I can gauge my availability. Apparently if you PM people, they respond...lol

As for running a game, something tells me to start slow, like a nice trip to Vermont that is short and sweet to get a grasp on running a game. However, like others before me I imagine, I have grandiose plans for games that either involve 1890s Wild West or a 1920s trip to the heart of darkness, being the Conrad novel of the same name. Either way, if you want to come on board, you are certainly welcome. However, still planning my next move....probably nice and slow would be best to get a grasp on running things I imagine.

Anyways, count me in!

My first game was L.A. Skinner. It started in January 2008 and ended in October. In hindsight it turned out quite well. The game

What didn´t work was the thread set-up. When I get the right spirit, I´ll arrange all threads in a better way with proper chapters and all. What I did wrong was renaming active threads making it hard to follow the plot afterwards. In-game there was no trouble,

It was fun and I made a follow-up scenario. to the initial plot, The Dreaming Man.

Anyway, I´m in on whatever you plan.

I'll be interested- always wanted to go as Daryl Hannah's Pris to a fancy dress party and would enjoy a CofC-Bladerunner game just as much. I'll play on either site but I do like this one. Mr. Pickman, that's one scary avatar picture.

Sorry, I've been a touch absent lately...

Thanks for the insight, Dave. Hopefully I get a chance to fully check out the Skinner threads this weekend. Hopefully you're not saying go big or go home :D Just kidding! I appreciate the tips and I will take my time to find the nerve lol!

As for 'Tears In Rain,' I should be all in!

Thank you aine. I'll take that as a compliment. If I told you the source, you wouldn't believe me (and its not r-rated  ) An old digital camera and Photoshop can make wierd magic lol!

Thanks kids!

Lol nice! Let me know if this calender is available. Would make a nice addition to any garage or tool room...heck, even a blade runner could use a calender with graphics like these in his den :D
