Music From a Darkened Room

OOC:   Just confirming, you're all going into the house, Nik leading?

"Maybe we should go first," says Vanessa. "That way you can keep an eye on us in case the house takes either of us over. It wouldn't be good if that happened while we were behind you."

Nik hesitates, but agrees with a shrug.

”Lead on, then”.

[Mr. Handy]

Vanessa leads the way back into the house.

The agents enter the house for the third time. One way or another, this would probably be their final trip.

Nothing seems immediately different as they enter the house. And then from within the dining room comes the sound of a piano playing. None of them had seen a piano there before. If nothing else, it would appear the evil that lurked within this home had a flair for the dramatic. It continues to play as they venture through the house, always sounding as though it's one room beyond.

OOC:   No san loss for this- I think you guys have seen enough to avoid being startled by one of the house's milder tricks. Planning to head straight towards the master bedroom?

Yarrow moves slowly towards the master bedroom

As the agents proceed the music grows more distorted. It's almost like it's being played underwater, and the tune becomes harder and harder to discern.

In the kitchen, the team spies something interesting. On one of the counters sits a straight razor. It's very old, looking like something out of the interwar era, and the blade appears quite dull. It definitely hadn't been there before. Their is some sort of writing on the side of the razor, but time has rendered it near indecipherable.

ooc,Please let me know if anyone wants to examine the razor. If you wish to do so, you can make a Forensics roll. Only one person may examine it at this time.

Proceeding on, they make it to the master bedroom. The door opens and reveals a room in chaos. Previously completely enveloped in mirrors, all but one have been broken, the shares of glass spread across the floor. Only one remains, on the far side of the room. Right in front of it lays the axe and a pool of blood that had come from Chaz, courtesy of Vanessa.

Nik tries to ignore any distractions. Entering the bedroom, he crosses the floor and picks up the ax, intent on breaking the last mirror.

Vanessa also ignores the razor, reasoning that it's at best a distraction and at worst a trap. She can always examine it after the job is done, if it's even real. She too proceeds to the bedroom.

Nik begins to cross the room and head towards the axe.

OOC:   Ah, my mistake! In that case...

Vanessa feels a presence inside her head, and she can tell it's the house once again. She tries to fight it off, but it's a futile battle. This time the manifestation fully enters her, taking over her body much like it did Yarrow. Her eyes flash with malevolence as she rushes towards Nik, intending to tackle and pin him to the ground.

OOC:   Please make an unarmed attack roll Vanessa.

Vanessa lunges at Nik, but he moves too fast and she misses him completely. She would never make it in the NFL.

Yarrow yelps and lunges for the axe, determined to smash the mirror with it.

Vanessa lunges at Nik, the expression in her eyes revealing that Vanessa is not there at the moment. He's just able to avoid her, but his counter attempt to trip her fails.

Yarrow avoids the two feuding agents and attempts to run for the axe, but it is then that he too feels a strange intrusion into his brain...
