For questions, comments, or idle speculation.

This is only the second DG game I've run, and third game overall. So I'm still newish at this. Hopefully you all enjoy it. :P

"So, my son: have you seen the yellow sign?"

Let's have fun!

Posting this as a quick reminder for all players.

Everytime you fail a skill, note it. When each scenario concludes you raise every skill you failed to use by one point. So for our first skill test, everyone but Nik should check HUMINT.

Yes, Happy New Year. I hope it was nice for all, or will be.

Hopefully my celebrating did not affect the quality of my most recent post. ;)

Quick question for you guys. There's a fair amount of dice rolling in the early stages of these investigations. Would you prefer I give you the basic info, ask you to make whatever required rolls, and then add to the info based on that? Or would you rather I roll these non critical rolls for you before posting, and have you only make rolls you either think of on your own or make in combat?

I'd be happy if you roll the non-critical ones and share with us what we learn.

While I prefer to roll my own dice, if you'd rather make non-critical rolls yourself, that's fine.

I'm with the other two - you can make the non-critical rolls SP.

Not really fussed one way or the other. I like to do the rolls, but for non important rolls, it's ... less important

Hmm, it seems we have some agreement. However, for those of you who do enjoy doing their own rolls I don't want to detract from that. I know it can be one of the most thrilling parts of the game.
So I think I'll roll for Dave and HoneyDog, while letting Mr.Handy and Cearlan make their own ones. Let's see how this works. :)

SP - are we (Nik & Vanessa) able to look at Stanyard's & Rue's posts? Or would it be more helpful to the game to pretend ignorance? I've been avoiding reading them so far.

The game is very mysterious - I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. But at the same time I have a bad feeling... it's not going to end well I fear.

Oh yes, feel free. I mostly spoiled so as to keep the posts from being huge. Unless one of the groups encounters a monster and is horrifyingly slain ;) I assume once you guys meet back up you'll all catch each other up to speed.

I'm really glad you're enjoying it so far! There's a sense of rising dread in this scenario that I think works really well.

The best games NEVER end up ending really well HoneyDog - and I suspect that this one will be right up there with the best of 'em.

Aw. Hope you guys continue to enjoy it!

Slight retcon. Braverman is from Houston, not New Orleans. I've edited accordingly.

I feel like both our scenes are coming to an end. If there are no objections, Tomorrow I'll bring the group back together at their hotel, and they can talk out their leads and plan for further investigation.

Here's my assumptions. Correct me if I'm missing anything.

Stanyard and Edmund will want the case files of Kenneth Braverman, and will likely put in a request with Houston for them.

Vanessa and Nik will want to send the bodies to Phoenix and figure out if the labs there can determine the cause of the wounds.

Also, hope the pace is fine with everyone. I'm a bit worried I'm going too fast, so if y'all would like me to slow down a peg, let me know. I operate under the philosophy that pbp's work better if they have some forward momentum.

That's fine SP. It's moving along at a good pace which gives it a sense of urgency.

All good, and Stanyard gave the ball to the leading team. Just to keep in the back seat.
