Thanks! If you can drive a motorcycle, you can probably ride a bike - but not necessarily the other way around. A motorcycle is a very different beast indeed. There is a Drive Motorcycle skill (not listed on the character sheet, but it can be used). I'm not sure if it's base would be 20% like for Drive Auto, or if it would have a lower base due to the vehicle's inherent instability. If you allow Drive Motorcycle to double for Bicycling skill, there would be no reason to put points in the latter. One option is to allow half of one's Drive Motorcycle to be used in place of Bicycling's base skill.

Sure! Always up for more players. We're starting in a week, but it'd be great if you can get your character up before then, so I we can check it over and edit it as needed.

Got your character, Kabukiman. It's alright stats-wise, but could you elaborate on the character herself? What school she goes to, her history, her appearance, friends, family, stuff like that. Since this is such a long campaign, I want the characters to be deep and realistic.

Also, due to the dangerous nature of this apocalypse, I will allow you to have multiple characters.

Well, i wanted to know sure that the character was approved before making her story. Since i'm from Portugal, i don't know any school from Vancouver; could you provide me that information? I will create the rest of her story, as soon as i can.
I'm thinking in creating also a hacker, and a mine engineer.

Sure! I'll edit up your character profiles for grammar and Vancouver details too, but all your characters are great - you should get a totally different experience for each of them. I take it that English isn't your first language?

We use those in Zombie Apocalypse, though I modified the missile one slightly to increase the odds of hitting the head from 5% to 10%. There's also a house rule for aiming at a part of the body.

I haven't had time to create my character yet. I'll try to do it on Monday or Tuesday, but I'm not certain if I'll have a chance before Wednesday.

What combat rules do you use for Zombie Apocalypse?

The Magic 8-ball! :D
Is it bad that I listen to this about ten times a day?

We use the BRP rules, especially the spot rules for combat. The house rule for aiming at part of a body with a missile weapon is that you must use precision aiming (and thus go during the second DEX cycle at 1/2 DEX), and you also take a -5% penalty to hit. This works well when shooting at zombies' heads from a distance, but once they get in close watch out!

That makes a lot of sense for ranged combat. In melee, I'd say halve the skill.

Anyways, I've PMed Welsh for a forum, and will start making the appropriate threads when it's up. Wednesday isn't a deadline or anything, so don't feel you have to rush. ;) I was considering using one of the more intricate combat systems from say, Runequest or Stormbringer, but I decided it wasn't worth the extra effort, especially for PbP, so I just took the Hit Locations from a Runequest character sheet, and wallah! One thing I'm missing though are the HP for the various body parts. You wouldn't happen to have that, would you?

I use Invisible Castle to simulate the Magic 8-Ball. It doesn't produce text messages, just random numbers. All you have to do is assign each number to one of the messages and you're good to go!
