Modern Day: The Things We Leave Behind

I've just got The Things We Leave Behind, a collection of modern day 7th edition Call of Cthulhu scenarios. They look fun and I'm thinking about running one here as an experiment (maybe more if it goes well). This would be my first attempt at GMing here and also GMing CoC so you'd have to bear with me.

There's a bit of a True Detective vibe and scenarios are flagged as 'mature' with things like child abduction so bear that in mind. I'm considering relocating it to England for various reasons. I'd guess maybe four posts per week.

Anyone interested? I wouldn't be getting started for a week or more as I have some things to sort out with a campaign I'm running for my kids (Harry Potter in Genesys - don't ask!)

At risk of over-committing myself, I’m interested.

What sort of posting schedule did you have in mind? Oops! Spotted that you already said four posts per week. That should be ok with me.

Considering the number of games I'm in, I can't think of anyone else as over-committed. But I definitely want to play in this, about which I've heard great things! I'm in so many games, so what's one more?

Do you have a life outside of this board, Mr Handy? :)

I'd be interested as well. I ran Roots on here awhile back and think it turned out pretty well.Been awhile since I read any of the others, so I'm (mostly) unspoiled. :)

Was thinking posting every 2-3 days. I'd probably run Ladybug, Ladybug, Fly Away Home (although I'd call it Ladybird, Ladybird, Fly Away Home, naturally) and see how that goes, if it goes well we could run another scenario and so on. I'm not a massive fan of Roots so I'd probably heavily modify it if I was going to run it (bit I shall take a look at how that went last time!)

Sounds like we have a few takers. How do I go about setting up a forum?

I think Mr Handy is the one to do that for you.

I do, actually. Much of it's been on hold, but I still find myself short of time.

I played in Roots here. I also played the beginning of Forget Me Not on this site, but the game fell apart.

I can create a forum for you when you're ready. I just need a text blurb describing the game that's displayed on the index page, like the other games on this site have. You can just post it here, along with the title of the game (I'm not sure if you want to use the title of the scenario collection or the first scenario you're running from it).

Right, let's stick with Ladybug, Ladybug and see how we go. I'll see if anyone else wants to join.

Mr Handy: Ladybird, Ladybird, Fly Away Home

6.30pm Thursday 11th March 2010, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England.

A five-year old girl, Regina Balfour, is kidnapped in broad daylight from the Eden Shopping Centre, while her mother’s back is momentarily turned. Left behind is her ladybird shaped backpack, which contained supplies for her insulin pump. She needs her medication to live more than a few days, and her condition will rapidly deteriorate without it...

Cheers, so we have Mr Handy, Philulhu, and Silver Priest. You guys can go on over to the forum to start character creation but we'll wait a little while before starting to see if anyone else is interested.

Is it too late to join in? Don’t worry if it is because I’m interested in your space game too.

Sorry aine, I think it might be a bit late. If I get any dropouts I'll let you know.
