Hockomock Hounds - A 1920s adventure

Post by BenTheRat »

I'm looking to play test this adventure. I would like to start this in the next week or 2.

It is set in the 1920s. You are welcome to create new characters or bring them over from the Star on the shore or other 1920s games.

The adventure is set in the 1920s Massachusetts in Bridgwater, MA. Next to the Hockomock Swamp.
While role-playing is always an important part, I'm more interested in pushing the story along and getting this completed in a few months.

If you are interested, please reply to this post.

Thanks, Ben The Rat

I'm interested in playing. I'd like to bring back Eddie Donovan.

I'd like to play too Ben. I'd need to make a new character.

I'll need to create a new character, but I'd say I'm relatively interested as well.

Excellent guys. 3 is enough to get things started.

Helpless and Honeydog if you want to roll up characters and create them, that will be great.

Handy, did you update Eddie after Star? He also should have gotten some Sanity awards and Cthulhu Mythos points.

Handy, can you set up a forum for us, and make it so we can roll dice on it.

Thanks,
Ben

The headline in the newspaper reads 'Huge Hounds Haunt Hockomock'. The police have closed the case as only being coyotes and a crazy farmer. But you know better when it comes to stories that don't seem quite right. Where do these black hounds come from, what do they want (besides their nightly chicken dinner). And how do you stop them?

Are we doing 6th or 7th edition rules?

Character I'm thinking of is a Fashion Designer who's visiting home, and is reminded by the headlines about an event from her childhood.

I created the forum here. I did see that I gained 5 Cthulhu Mythos, but my sheet hasn't been updated.

I rolled for Sanity increases for Eddie, and his Sanity is back up to 43 (which is still down). I don't believe I ever did roll for skill increases, as I don't know what skills he successfully used. I'd have to go through the whole adventure to check, but I won't have time for that until the weekend,

Okay, We will be using 7th ed. rules. I have tried to move everything over there. They are not a lot different from 6th. Just multiply most of your stats by 5. A few combat rules changed, etc... The Luck skill plays a part now.

Eddie, I don't think you need to go through the whole module, just go down the list and if you think you used it successfully roll for it. I'll trust you.

They slimmed down the skill list for 7th ed. So if you want to keep your list that is fine, or you can move it over. If you have any questions, we can work it out. Most of the important ones are there as always.

Hockomock Hounds A 1920s adventure

My biggest worry is finding the fine line of breaking the hounds off game vs just getting them to stay with me but still letting me know there is a track there. It is all hardwoods here so visual tracking is rare...
