Death in Luxor
Death in Luxor
I am contemplating running a game based on the Age of Cthulhu adventure death in Luxor, this is the first in a series so if I don't make a complete hash of it and we all have fun and finish it then it could always carry on with the rest of the series for which reviews seem to be favourable and make a campaign out of it
Full disclosure : I am new to keeping and playing by forum, but have done a lot of IC roleplaying via forums and have DM'ed D&D games online as well (though that quite a while ago now) ,
So basically this should be a noob friendly game, as I am a noob keeper, and can supply premade characters if you wish or we could discuss making your own....
needing 5 players.... do I have any takers ??

Re: Death in Luxor
I´m not playing this one, but I´ll set it up for you. Then you can get some props up and background.
That might get you more players.
I´ve got no doubt that this will fly.

I'll play, but you'll have to explain the background to me I've never heard of Death in Luxor.

Re: Death in Luxor
I'm interested too. I've heard that the early Age of Cthulhu games weren't very good, but that they get better starting with the fourth one. Even so, I'm willing to give them all a try. I think someone started running Death in Luxor here a few years back, but it didn't get very far before it fell apart. It's in the Graveyard if you want to look at it (it was renamed Resurrection of Luxor when someone else briefly took it over). I had read along at the time, but I don't remember much of it now.

Re: Death in Luxor
Hi Mr Handy,
I bought the scenario yesterday and skimmed it and am in bed with a cup of tea reading the rest which i printed out, there are a few internet reviews which helpfully point out some of the downsides/issues which i will work to correct, it actually seems like great pulpy if horrific fun to me so far, so if we can get 3 more people onboard we can try and make a start, if it transpires its crap i am willing to rewrite or go with something else but i dont think we will need to, my ultimate goal
is not for us to end up in the forum graveyard
Cheers, alik

Re: Death in Luxor
Ahhhh, I guess I have to throw my hat in the ring to participate in the excavations. Í´ve been reading the adventures of Blake and Mortimer, so I´m in the mood of some researching.
Don´t want you to have too few players to begin this.
