A Firefly game

After the latest mention in the 9th planet game. Would there be enough interest if I ran a Firefly game using the CoC rules.

I figure the Reavers would more than allow for plenty of sanity checks. I figure min about 4-5 PC's. Let me know.

I was in a Firefly game over on Dark and Moody forums, run by Flax and using GURPS rules. We got through two adventures, but he hasn't had time to continue running it.

I haven't played a Firefly game before; I've just looked it up, is it a sort of Star Trek written by Neil Gaiman kind of thing? But I'll be up for it for sure, I can always do some research on it or be a character who is very naive on galaxy affairs.

BenTheRat hasn't posted in nearly three months. This thread only made it to the top for you to see it because a spammer had bumped it. Sadly, it looks like this game isn't happening, and the one on Dark and Moody seems to be going into hiatus after having restarted recently.

Firefly is more like a western in space. The series was written by Joss Whedon and aired in 2002, and it's very good, though it was unfortunately canceled after one season. There was also a followup movie in 2005 starring the original cast called Serenity.

I joined a Traveller/Firefly game three weeks ago and we are 126 post in to pre-game. We are six players/GMs co-running the game over at Obsidian Portal.

On the plot: We have decided to sign up for a job. Salvaging a ship.
We have formed a FreeTrading company and decided how to finance things.

We have not yet signed the contract. We have not left our original destination, High Port orbiting the planet Flammarion.

Yes it´s a Trucker/Western game set in space.

Thanks for the heads-up. It looks like you are at full quota but I'll wait in the wings for an opportunity to join up; I need to do some research as I have no idea about the Firefly galaxy or Traveller rules.

The Serenity game on Dark and Moody forums is moving again. It uses GURPS 4th Edition rules. We're going to arrive on a planet before too long, so there may be a way to introduce you there if you're interested.

If I can get my head around the forum colours and fonts on Dark and Moody I'll look seriously at the story when I get back from absence. On first glance the plot looks good though. Thanks.

You're welcome! The game is moving again. If you do want to play, you should let Flax know and start thinking about what sort of character you want to be. He can help with character creation.
