WELCOME TO DUNWICH
Once again, terror has come to New England, this time spreading to the small country town of Dunwich, just a few miles from Arkham. The area is filled with rolling hills, many of which are topped with mysterious stone circles or the ramshackle houses of the recluses who live outside of town. At night the piping of the whippoorwills fills the air, while lightening bugs dance in the witch-haunted hollows. This is a place where dark pacts with unknown forces are made, and where city folk go to disappear without a trace. But however much the people of Dunwich may distrust outsiders, they desperately need your help against the Horror that has manifested on the Whateley farm….

Save Dunwich against 1 of 12 possible Ancient Ones.

Everything required to play will be online. The rules are here: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_ ... m=6&esem=4 - they are straightforward, but there are lots of them; however, myself or Mr. Handy can advise.

Players so far: Tabs, Mr. Handy and kabukiman; check out our previous adventure against Yog-Sothoth, here: http://www.callofcthulhu.org.uk/viewforum.php?f=152. Dunwich Horror will begin in a few weeks….

So this won't require owning the game? I haven't yet purchased it though I have every intention of doing so.

if I do not need to buy the game then I'm all for it, if there is room for me
unfortunately I have barely enough room for my laptop, let alone a board game.

No need to own the game! I shall draw from the various decks for you and I intend to post an image of the card.

The player requirement is that he updates his investigator and copy and paste the card as well; this is a departure from our last game where we had few images. The game-art is what makes Arkham Horror so atmospheric. Also, the player can roleplay and add narrative as much or as little as he wants.

As you may know the boardgame is co-operative, so (in theory) we help each other out in order to banish the AO. Each turn is broken up into phases: Upkeep, Movement, Encounter and Mythos; the investigators have a player order (which rotates); the first investigator completes his action for the phase, then the next investigator and so on.

Choose an investigator or I can randomely draw one for you, check out them here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/images/boa ... te=alltime and the next page; and here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/images/boa ... te=alltime . (The Dunwich investigator image is not good. If you pick one I'll provide a better scan of the card).

5 players sounds good - I need to check with kabukiman that he is playing too when he returns from his hols in a few weeks.

On second thought, y'all seem to have plenty of players.
I'll give it a go next time, if y'all are looking for an extra player. :D
