2009-Jan-15 Status: We now have 5 characters rolled and ready to go. I hope to have a forum ready to go soon.
With Dreamer, we now have six characters.
Our team is now complete.
Sorry, there's no more room in the redneck's truck for any more than six, the dog and the rocking-chair.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Hi All,

... I'm Thinking Of Running A Game

I have the 'Nocturnum' campaign, I still haven't made it through to the end. It shouldn't take any effort to bring it back to good ol chaosium rules.
I aim to provide posts every 24-48 hours. I won't take on any more than 6 investigators.
Be warned, I'm a merciless Keeper, lives and sanity will no doubt be lost.

----------------
A conspiracy of destruction, a blast of ill will from an ancient god. A hunt and a chase from the heartland of America into the doom that awaits in the East. A horrific journey to the brink of insanity that lingers at the end of the world.

Nocturnum is an epic, modern-day campaign for Call of Cthulhu. This horror epic introduces a terrifying new evil and an ancient conspiracy against humanity. Nocturnum is a mind-shattering journey through more than a dozen adventures complete with exstensive backgrounds, NPC, new monsters, and exotic locales. Can you survive...Nocturnum?

Night Falls.

Anyone interested?

Interested.

I'm in your same boat. I've had the campaign book and never been able to finish it via PBP... If you'll have me, I'd like to play. I can tell you I honestly don't remember much more than the first and maybe part of the second chapter... but I can play dumb real good. ;)

D20 or Chaosium rules ... either way is ok with me.

Welcome aboard ImpInTraining. We'll commence when there's at least another four souls collected.
If you're keen, you can start by rolling up a character with the note '[Noct]ImpInTraining'.

Ok, I'll need to know for certain which game system we're using... D20 or Chaosium?

Also they have three methods of rolling up a character. I'm assuming you don't mean the point-buy system, but that leaves the regular rolling, or the grid system. Did you have a preference?

Welcome Imported. Welcome Quilros. Welcome Redneck brothers.

I'll be running Chaosium Rules.
If anyone doesn't have the rulebook, you should be fine using the quick-start rules.

Rolling for stats: Use '[Noct]alias-name' at InvisibleCastle
(If you've registered, use [Noct] as the campaign name).
Roll 3d6;3d6;3d6;3d6;3d6;2d6+6;2d6+6;3d6+3
Assign these to STR,CON,POW,DEX,APP,SIZ,INT and EDU.
Either find a profession that matches the stats that you've rolled, OR, feel free to swap the rolls between these stats to match a profession you really want to play.
Roll 1d10 to determine your wealth.

Byakhee can help to build your character, just cut and paste your final statistics.
Provide a little bit of a background, maybe find a picture to represent your character and post it back here.

Welcome Maroon.

O.K. We have enough interest to get started.

Roll up your characters, once we have all five characters rolled, I'll go looking for an administrator to see if we can start a forum.

Thanks Green, here are my rolls and my character sheet.

You may find me a little unpredicatable, you never know when I might get slammed several times by a piece of furniture or start working at a hardware store.

Cletus Jones - Andrew's character

Let me know if that looks good. Checks out via Byakhee.

History:

Zeke and Cletus Jones, a couple of 'good-ole-boys' from down south in Cadiz Kentucky, took over their family business. That was the business of moonshine. Sure, wasn't much to it. The still was already there, all they had to do was add the ingredients, stoke the fire once in a while, and wait. But when their still blew up one afternoon, getting everyone's attention because of the forest fire it started, the Jones brothers had to take off. The cops already had suspicions, and the bits and pieces of a blown up still on their property would be enough to land them in jail.

So Zeke and Cletus took off, heading out west to start life anew... someplace where there weren't so many trees to catch on fire when the still blew up again.... if only they knew how to make the still. Cletus figured he could do it, but Zeke had his doubts.

Glad you approve. It sure will be a change to the normal characters I tend to play. I'm actually anxious to go at it.

Say, Keep... I'm going to need to know what sort of resources two good-ole-boys like Zeke and Cletus would start with to equip themselves... based on their history.

Keep in mind that zielonobrody is not the Keeper of this campaign, so you'll still have to clear them through Mr.Green.

Ok Imported, I have the other two character sheets in my private inbox.
Just waiting on you now (In Byakee, export to html, then cut and paste the sheet).

All of us here are going to take a little holiday in the Rocky mountains to get us warmed up.
With your equipment, pack a suitcase for a holiday in the snow.
Your 1d10 roll will give an indication as to how wealthy you are.
Feel free to submit your suitcase(s) for inspection.
