Yeah, it is! That made me laugh--The Twisted Staircase sounds just like the title of one of those films!paradys wrote:is this going to be set in the era of silent films? if so, my actress is going to be moody and czechoslavakian with a heavy accent - star of german expressionist classic The Twisted Staircase (or something like that).

Actually, it's turned out that a gumshoe would be really, really good for the story!!!mikc wrote:Hi there,
the idea sounds good, I ran a couple of 20s Hollywood p&p one-offs some time ago and had a real laugh!
If there`s any more space I`d love to have a go at an honest-to-goodness Gumshoe!

Cool! Should I roll up myself or would you rather give me a pre-gen?jenny_dreadful wrote:Actually, it's turned out that a gumshoe would be really, really good for the story!!!

Oh, you can roll yourself up--I'd rather let you have control over how your character comes together!mikc wrote:Cool! Should I roll up myself or would you rather give me a pre-gen?jenny_dreadful wrote:Actually, it's turned out that a gumshoe would be really, really good for the story!!!

I might be up for this if there is still room.
I'll need to think of what kind of char I'd roll though...

I'd be down for checking out this game. Hope there's still room to do so. Might play either a Douglas Fairbanks-esque actor or a director working on breaking into the horror genre (sort of a Shadow of the Vampire idea) whichever would be needed more/fit better. Let me know.

Yeah, there's room! Either concept would be fine, though I already had thought of how great a Douglas Fairbanks-type character would be!!!

Hi Jenny,
Do you have room for or need of any more characters? I love 1920s in general and Hollywood in particular.
A few years back, my daughter and I created a silent film scenario. We mashed up Shadow of the Vampire with Barbara Hambly's Bride of the Shadow King and set it at an abandoned hacienda just over the Arizona line in Mexico. She ran it several times at Origins for Rogue Cthulhu with great success.
I'd be happy as a wrangler/stuntman, a teutonic director, a lovestruck grip, an aging matinee idol/character actor, or Mr. Whitman's valet/chauffer.
What do you think?
Oh, and don't let the avatar throw you, it's Lady Diana Rathbone from Season of Our Discontent, now playing at a forum near you.
