With the etchings on the wall documented, you move on. Openings a hundred feet tall and eighty feet wide lead from one chamber to the next. At seemingly random intervals Bafflingly shaped stones protrude from the walls, floor, and ceiling. They are almost certainly carved, although you couldn't say what they are supposed to depict. Something about this place causes strange optical illusions. The angles are wrong, rooms are either much larger or much smaller than your eyes say they are. You duck to avoid ceilings that are far above you. At one point, Tyner
walks through a wide opening only to slam into a wall that should have been far to his right. You feel as though you have been walking for hours. And that is when you begin to hear, in the distance, screaming.
