As Alex exits the vehicle, with Rahimi in tow. He sees Craig making a dash for cover, following the lead of Bryant. Alex starts to scan the surrounds for any signs of attackers, when he hears the grunt and scuffle as Craig tumbles to the floor. Alex follows after Craig and tries to help get him back to his feet quickly.

[Cotton]

Tyner:
You've managed to get all the rucksacks out. You're exhausted, but you know you need to get out. Gibson has already moved past you and Booker is still waiting to help you out.


Craig and Alex:
Rahimi has run past you to the rocks. Craig can see that the other Cougar is rolling to a stop and one of the soldiers inside is taking up position on the mounted gun. Alex helps Craig to his feet and both are free to move to cover.

All of the soldiers are shouting back and forth, no sign of any attackers yet.

Tyner tries to make his way to cover. He feels like he's swimming through maple syrup; he's about to collapse.

[Mr. Handy]

"Thanks," says Craig, scurrying behind cover.

[maelstrom]

As Craig scrambles to his feet. Alex sweeps his gun around the surrounding hills rapidly, seeking any sign of attackers. He sees Tyner, looking washed out and looking unsteady on his feet. Alex runs back towards him, slinging his carbine across his back.
As he reaches Tyner, he takes hold of his left arm and ducks under it and garbs his belt with his right and half lifts, half drags Tyner along.
" Come on Doc, least we can do is make sure you collapse in cover"

[Cotton]

Alex manages to get Tyner to cover. The back of team Babbel's Cougar has opened and some of the soldiers have begun moving out and seeking cover. There is still no sign of any enemies. You can all make Alertness rolls.

Tyner is too exhausted to notice much of what's going on. He just tries to catch his breath once he's in a relatively safe place.

Craig is too distracted to notice anything.

Alex leans out of his covering position and sweeps his rifle across the hillsides, looking for any signs of movement.

Alex spots a black turban poking up from behind a large rock about 150 meters away.
What does he do?

Alex will keep his weapon trained on the position and call over his companions, pointing out what he had seen.

As soon as no attack has started yet,maybe Craig could call out to them to show themselves?

[Mr. Handy]

Craig calls out in Dari from behind cover: "We come in peace! We wish to talk to you!"

[Cotton]

Craig begins to speak in Dari, but the last part of his sentence is cut out by the rattle of machine gun fire coming from seemingly all directions. Soon the much louder thumping of the Cougar's M2 joins the cacophony.

Finding an attacker will require a successful alertness roll, Alex already has one in his sights so he can fire if he so chooses. In addition you could also try to hunker down behind cover for extra protection, or any other action that seems appropriate.

Tyner has no clue who's firing at them. He tries to lower himself to the ground and ready his sidearm in case someone moves forward.

Craig looks around for any sign of the shooters. Since he has no rifle, he hopes they're in pistol range. If not, at least he can point them out to the others.

Craig peeks fro behind cover and sees one turbaned fighter lean around a rock to fire at some American soldiers. At the same time another fighter dash from that same rock to another piece of cover closer toward your position. They are not yet in pistol range but Craig can call out the fighter's new position.

Hunkered down, waiting for the enemy to close, Tyner grimly thinks that this is like some old Western movie. C'mon, Alex, he thinks. You're the outdoorsman. Surely you can get a bead on these guys.

[Mr. Handy]

"One of them just advanced!" calls Craig into his radio as he ducks back behind cover, reporting his new position as well as that of the turbaned fighter who remained behind the rock.

Alex flicks his rifle to three round burst and fires at the target he spotted
