Although Anderson's punch doesn't do much damage, combined with his earlier challenge it momentarily confuses the masked man. He pauses his wild swings of his big knife, the moment of hesitation offering Tremayne and Anderson the opening they need.

Room 410, Hotel Chelsea

Gerald quickly shows the matchbox, letter and business card to Irene, Clark and Jordan, "Should we show these to the cops? What's Elias gotten himself into? I'm Gerald by the way."
Royya,[ooc]I've assumed that Clark is in his way to the door, but hasn't left the apartment yet.[/ooc]

Irene decided to shows these to the cops. "We wouldn't want to be copped with obstructing investigation or hiding evidence, now, would we? Besides, the more people investigating this, the better. These monsters should be put behind bars!"

Punch Two,70% Punch and Tremayne rolls... [dice]0[/dice]
Damage,[dice]1[/dice] + [dice]2[/dice] Total [b]7[/b] HP
Delighted with the distraction, Tremayne dances in again with a hard left round-house to the side of the ribs (he is avoiding punching the mask, it looks like it would hurt).

"Blaggard!"

"Here, put the things in my trumpet case ... I may have the sources among my people to find who they are"
The black Jazz man replies. "I will meet you in the lobby, it's too dangerous for me to be here."
Once the findings are in his bag, Clark goes down.

Irene disagrees. "You can have temporary ownership of the evidence, but if the cops request them, we are turning them over. A criminal sentence is the last thing me and Gerald needs!"

“That would be a wise course of action. Let’s do just that.” Irene harrumphed.

Third Floor, Hotel Chelsea

Tremayne's punch hits the assassin in the chest with brutal force, the big machete clatters out of his hand and he collapses in an ungainly heap onto the laundry room floor.

Tremayne takes a moment to collect himself, blowing his cheeks out with a whoosh and flexing his knuckles.

"Well done, Anderson, good team work." He nods appreciatively.

His wits coming back to him, Tremayne kicks the machete out of the fallen man's grasp. "Now, where the other blighter get to?" He races to the fire escape and looks out carefully.

'Hi Gerald...'
Jordan looks somewhat unimpressed by the casual introduction.
'Let's just keep those things to ourselves and let the pigs deal with their own research. Where are they keeping? And where are the others?'

Anderson protests:
"It was you who have done the most dangerous work".
Then he uses his handkerchief to tie up the prisoner to prevent him to escape; only then he will resume the persecution.

The Third Floor - Hotel Chelsea

Looking out of the window, Tremayne can see the remaining assassin is still running down the fire escape, although he has just about reached the alleyway below.

DL arrives in the hallway from the central staircase, with James not far behind him.

Anderson notices a folded sheet of paper poking out of his prisoner's jacket pocket.

Room 410, Hotel Chelsea

More of the Chelsea's guests and residents are venturing into the hallway now, either gasping or crying as they spot the bloody corpse of the assassin; and everyone has a question.

"What's going on?"

"Someone call the cops?"

"Was that a gunshot?"

"Irene are you okay?"

"Who are you?"

"My god, he's dead! What's happened?"

Jordan moves outside into the corridor and tries his own particular brand of crowdcontrol.

'A great man and good friend was murdered by these cowardly assassins. It's best that you all get back to your rooms and lock the door. The police are on their way and will be arriving shortly. Everybody just move back to your chambers and let the professionals deal with this.'
