Recruting for Cults of Cairo

Post by welsh »

We have spaces and characters, and the game is not nearly as intense as it seems.

I expect players to post 3-4 times per week. I post virtually every day. The game is rather fast moving. Dedication needed.

YOu can either play a new character or pick up an old one.

Chaosium is what we use, but its a pretty relaxed system. Occassionally I will ask you to roll and the popular choice for on-line rolers is Invisible Castle.

Which character are you interested in picking up. Lately, Max, Reginald, Rahim, and Dr. Love have been pretty quiet.

I would also ask that you catch up with the back story of your character- it should take you no more than a few hours to read through. Mostly from this thread, but you can go back a bit. I can also help you out with some of the details.

Don't be overwhelmed with the game thus far. Most of the characters are pretty much on their own at the moment- including the four mentioned above.

Cheers,

If you wish to start from the beginning the
"Let it be written, Let it be done.." which is followed by "In Character 2". These were the original threads of the campaign, but the Keeper left and things got quiet for awhile before I kicked up the campaign to keep things busy until Saladin returns.

The current campaing is Cults of Cairo. THe other threads are there for information or aid.

To choose a character look at the ones in the Cast of Characters thread.

Hehehehe - I like the verve of a guy who wants to jump into the role of the drug-addled boorish doctor who's on the run from pretty much everyone for a horrific murder he may actually have committed...

/playing Isabel in that campaign
//who has troubles of her own, if nowhere near as severe
///Welcome aboard!

welsh,

I'd be very interested in coming aboard playing one of the existing PCs you would like filled. I'm new to these forums, but I've been playing RPGs since the mid-'80s. I also have a fair bit of familiarity with BRP CoC.

I'll be able to commit to your desired flow of play. Feel free to drop me a PM if you would like me to join your campaign.

Cheers,
Marcus

@fulcilives2003-

Are you sure about Dr. Love. Right now the guy is either a murderer, has been set up as a murderer, and perhaps is being manipulated by those completely outside his area. At present he is trying to discover the nature of the narcotic that he is feeling a desperate desire for.... This is a rather dicey situation. You sure about this? When last we checked Love was in an insane asylum's lab trying to run tests on his blood.

@Portal- Sure, read through the characters and pick one that is not in use. I think Giles is also available and we haven't seen much of his this adventure yet.

welsh,

Is the flamboyant playboy, Max Rich, available?

If so, I will take him. :) How do I gain access to his character sheet?

Lure of the Nile-

Is close to finishing up the chapter 1 Cults of Cairo. That said we are looking for new players as we have NPCs that are up for grabs.

So far the campaign has been a convoluted mystery of multiple, but intersecting parts. In Chapter 2 the plot has begun to unfold and the pieces are beginning to fit. What are the Cults of Cairo really up to?

If you are interested please post here or send me a pm.

Still open for business. Looking for players for new characters and to take over old characters.

Must be willing and mature enough to deal with narcotics, prostitutes, cults, killers, assassins, spies, gangsters, beheading, white slavery, torture, murder, drug addiction, homicidal maniacs, mummies, kinky sex, grave robbery, witchcraft, tentacled monsters and.... well a lot of stuff.
