Pokke wrote: It would work but I tried to read all of Harry's previous adventures and wow, that's a daunting task. Lots and lots of pages.
With what I've read so far I must say that I'm very impressed! Clearly this has been going on for quite a while now?

What I could not find is where the character descriptions are, or where the stats of the char is?

However, the problem is that at the moment I do not have the luxury of enough spare time to read it all.
So I'm afraid I will have to pass. :(

At the risk of offending you or the players: Is there's a possibility to introduce a new char into the ungoing campaign? One that does know nothing about what's going on and which might be easier for me to simply start playing?
(Or do have to look in a different thread for that?)

Sorry!
Pokke

Yes it might be possible to introduce a new character to the mix. What do you have in mind?

Well to pick up one of the Brit soldiers, you should read through their adventure. They've been in it for a long time- having met Isabel while she was being stalked by assassins and then taking part in the battle with the well beast under the Semiramis hotel.

The soldiers are Luke and Will. Running a search will reveal their character development. Suaside also ran these characters for awhile. You might check with him as well.

Sure- who would you like to play-
We have the two British Lts. who have been very inactive. Sgt Singh, Natalie Dissau, Archie and Giles. I am NPCing quite a few at the moment, but there are a lot of characters to grab.

Who would you like to play or take over. I can provide you with some backstory if you like.

Hi there,
would like to join up too.
I should warn you that although an experienced player and keeper, I`ve never played online before.
I`m based in Germany ie CET, will try to read up the summary tomorrow and don`t really mind which character I take.
The Singh seargeant sounds interesting, if you`d prefer someone else let me know.
Look forward to getting involved!

It is! Look, Jason let go of your ankle. You can read that in your threat... I'm your pal, your friendly Keeper, you believe me, right? I'm sure you're quite safe now.

Of course i am. And i love tea.
But my character who doesn't seem to know have already done the smartest thing: hide behind another brave person. Let him be the hero, who rescues the princess ;)

Sorry for the slow response. And everyone knows that Laraqua is the deadliest keeper on the board.

Once you guys have read through the characters you can start.

Kabukiman- you got Giles. He hasn't done a lot. He showed up early in the campaign, was taking care of Percival and now is talking to Roland at the Shepherd's over supper. I had slowed the game down, with Roland's help, to allow Isabel and Reynolds to catch up, but they should be arriving pretty soon. So you can post as soon as you have read up. Playing Giles is easy if you have some reference to Egyptian mythology handy. If not, I can help you with it.

MikC- you have Sgt Singh. Sgt Singh has been involved pretty early and was with Louchon during his adventure in the cemetary, and helped the small group escape with their lives. He is under orders from Inspector Reynolds to investigate, but has romantic attachments to Natalie Dissau. He had a "bad experience" at the IFAO and has traveled with Giron to the Asylum to look after Love- and is currently searching for the man in the basement. Singh is not quite trusted by the IFAO group yet, but Singh's own mistrust of Reynolds and his own experience makes him sympathetic to their concerns.

ALternatively if you want to play Harry, who is currently with Natalie in a bar trying to dig up leads on Max Rich, an old friend whose boat has been sunk and is currently missing, that's fine. Harry just left the casino to reunite with Natalie only to find that Natalie is in a bit of trouble.

Looking forward to seeing you both post.

Cheers!

I'm way behind in Lure of the Nile and haven't read up to the point where Welsh took over as Keeper, but I don't think he's killed off any PCs there - though some of them may wish he had! He's been a great Keeper in Zombie Apocalypse, though, and he has killed several characters there. That's the nature of that game, however, and he warned everyone up front. Anyway, he hasn't killed nearly as many characters in Zombie Apocalypse as I have since I took over most of the responsibilities of Keeper. I'm sure you'll have fun in the Lure!

Well a couple of characters have come close to be whacked but no one yet. Well, no that's not true. Orphaned characters often end up dead.

But so far, the characters are still in the preliminaries.

Re: Characters for the Lure

Well, you start by having a lot of characters. That way there's more of them to kill. Then take the world and all but destroy it, and have hordes of ravenous monsters and evil humans plague the survivors while turning them against each other and getting them to work at cross-purposes. Throw in deadly and surprising plot twists and...

...actually, that sounds a lot like what you're already doing in Ash. Keep up the good work! ;)
