A Star on the Shore

A new player jumped into my game and almost immediately became inactive. Hate that. Guess it wasn't his cup of tea. So I have an open slot in a game barely started.

I like active players who want to post at least 1x a day. Let me know if you are interested.

A Star on the Shore is a classic era CoC 6th ed game set in 1921, and is a home made continuation for the Haunting.

Come check it out

I don't know how you feel about players portraying multiple chars, but if we don't get any bites here I don't mind taking over for the moment.

And of course if someone did show up and want to wrest control from me I'd be willing to give it up.

Hi!

I'm kind of a new player but I would love to join your game if you have any place for me. I have time on my hands to post at least 1x a day as you say. If you have any space over for me, let me know.

Cheers.

Medri,

Welcome to A Star on the Shore. You will be taking over the character of Charles. Right now I just have him sitting in the car mulling over his options.

Charles is a carry over character from the first game, "A Rat's Haunting."
viewforum.php?f=283

If you have several hours on your hand you could read that, but I don't think it's necessary. Maybe just chapter 12 the final showdown, if you have time.

If you read up on what we have done so far starting with returning character intro, then Ch1 the Lounge, and we are currently in Ch 2 Welcome to Brockport, you get a pretty good synopsis of what happened in the last adventure and you will be caught up enough.

Don't feel you have to play Charles a certain way. These guys have been through so much already that personality changes are part of normal life for them. Feel free to jump in and post and introduce yourself in the OOC thread, and post what you want your character to do.
If you want to look at your character go look in the OOC: Cast of Characters and yours is Charles Francis.

If you have questions about how to post, or technical parts of the game, just ask in the OOC thread and we will gladly help you out.

Welcome to the game. Ben

I have had a few players drop out over the last couple months.

Setting is 1920's up in the city of Rockport. The Mystery draws deeper as the Investigators have started to uncover a mysterious cult that has the city gripped in fear. Mysteries and clues are around every corner and the party has just discovered a trap door in the basement of an old church.

Come join in as the investigators move deeper into the conspiracy, to uncover the Star on the Shore.

Please send me a message or post here if you are interested. The best part of the adventure is coming up.
I have 5 characters that you can choose from.

Thanks,
Ben the Rat

Yes, I'd like to join. Trap door in a church? sounds like the story Haunter of the Dark.

Cool Tabs. Look through the Cast of Characters, Eddie, Richard and Aunt Loosa are still active. So just pick any of the others you would like.

You are free to read everything up to this point as well if you like.

Welcome in. A lot of threads, most are short, and with a lot of short posts.

But a good sit down read, might give you some clues others have missed.

Hi there,

I might be interested in the game itself. Any requirements?

I'm fairly new to CoC. Ran a couple of scenarios with my family, played with a small group (maybe 10-15 sessions; killed a lot of good guys :D) and so far love it. Would like to dive into play-by-post since, due to time zone differences, I cannot continue my previous games :/

Kindest regards.

Sorry I missed your post. I sent you a PM. No real requirements. At this point it would be best to pick up one of the characters of people who stopped playing.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll send you the list. There are 2 or 3 currently inactive.
