Hello, I'm very new to CoC and would like to join a game to see how things go. Any scenario is cool for me I'm just itching to get started.

You can always hop aboard the Orient Express at Munich! viewtopic.php?f=38&t=4665 The game is already underway but since there's no investigative party, just individuals trying their best to figure things out and survive the train trip, it's all good if people arrive a little later.

You can either pick up an NPC currently milling about (many have excellent ties and goals) OR you can create your own PC. You have more freedom here than in most campaigns so think about the sort of game you'd like to play. You could be a Mythos cultist, an occultist with a few spells, a Nazi spy, or a Jew escaping persecution.... It's set a few days before World War II so there's quite a selection of possible characters and that's not even including your Big Game Hunter (perhaps with a worrisome artefact he's transporting), scientists and various others kinds of bookworms. Fling me a PM with your concept and we'll take it from there.

Welcome, Xamthos! I'm also thinking of running an introductory game for people new to Call of Cthulhu, if you're interested: viewtopic.php?f=39&p=166984#p166984

Welcome, Xamthos! I've validated you, so now you can post on the game boards. You'd be welcome to join my games, and I'm more than happy to take on new players. All of my games are well underway and one is currently active. That one is The Shadow Over Dunwich, the third adventure in my Doctor Who/Call of Cthulhu campaign, which is a UNIT adventure set in 1985 Dunwich, England. No knowledge of the first two adventures is needed to play, but you can read them in the Hall of Fame if you like. You don't even need to do any catching up if you join, as I can introduce a new UNIT character at this point. No knowledge of Doctor Who is required, and there's a thread detailing everything you need to know about UNIT. If you don't mind doing back reading, there are a few abandoned characters, and you could take over one. We're approaching the endgame, which will hopefully be completed within a few months. After that, I plan to start the fourth adventure, a Cthulhu Invictus scenario set in the late Roman Republic that I call The Brotherhood of Death. However, I doubt that will start until next spring.

I also run Zombie Apocalypse, a modern near-future non-Mythos game, though with a similar mythology. However, only one of the players has posted recently. There was also Space Oddity, based on Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes and set in 1969 Philadelphia, but that has been dead for several months, as all of the players have disappeared.
