Any games?

Post by LookDown »

Hello, I've just got my hands on a heap of Call of Cthulhu pdfs, so I thought it'd give this great game a try.

I'm looking for games in the original 1920s style I guess, but would be open to trying other eras. Anyway, does anyone have any spots open/games available for a newbie to sink his teeth into?

New York...2007...High mortality rate, from start!
There´s a position as a security guard at a WalMart on Manhattan if you like to try out a modern era game!
Convergence, the first part of The Dreaming Man will kick off in ten days.
We could set up a character via PM prior to the game starts and see if it´s something for you.

A drug is distributed in Florida, New York and LA. Agencies have been trying to stop the trade, unsuccessfully. They even claim there is no drug. Voices are raised that the government is poisoning the poor with the drug.

If this is out of your ball park, check out the threads dealing with 'I´m thinking of running a game' and 'Games looking for players'!

Zombie Apocalypse always has room for new players. We're wrapping up Chapter 3 right now, but a whole bunch of new characters are being added for Chapter 4, which will probably start in late November. The characters are all pre-generated, so you don't need to worry about character creation. If you take one or more of the new characters exclusively (multiple characters are not only allowed, they're encouraged due to the highly lethal nature of this game), then you won't have to do any catching up either. You could also pick up one or more characters added at the start of Chapter 3 that are still alive and not being played by anyone else, but you'd have to catch up on what they've done in Chapter 3 and some of them might not have long to live.

Zombie Apocalypse is a modern game, so it might not be exactly what you're looking for. It doesn't involve the Cthulhu Mythos as such, but it has its own mythology that has elements derived from the Mythos. We've changed some things around, so there will be surprises even if you're familiar with the Mythos. Zombies are far from the only danger, as our players have discovered, but they're more than a handful. Be careful, or they might sink their teeth into you! :)

Dark Ages 1000 AD. Vikings vs Eskimos in the New World.

I'm looking for some Eskimos for my Dark Ages based Helluland game. Not quite Lovecraft... but a mix of horror and Inuit and Norse mythology. Interested?

I could use a Private Investigator to find out what happened to Max Rich. The character is Jack, is listed on the second page of the character sheets. The game is in mid-stream, but my player left due to RL just as things were finally getting interesting again.

Born in 1886 an only child with a silver spoon firmly in his mouth, he seemed destined for the life of the dilettante. His childhood was happy and pampered. He was educated at Eton College and Balliol College, Oxford, where he received a First in English.
His destiny changed when he elected to serve in the British Army from 1914-1918 attaining the rank of Capitan in the 1/4 Battalion, Essex Brigade, East Anglian Division (later 161st Brigade, 54th Division).
While overseas in 1915 he received word that his parents were lost aboard the RMS Lusitania.
After serving at Suvla Bay, Gallipoli, Egypt and Palistine he returned home briefly to settle his affairs. At this time he was approached by MI6 to keep an informal eye on the increasingly volatile situation in Cairo . Feeling at a bit of a loose end, and unwilling to remain at his family home, he sold his family estate and returned to British occupied Egypt, buying a home there. His knowledge of languages combined with his military and civilian contacts have allowed him to become a successful private inquiry agent.
Who is that mysterious Italian with all the questions?
What happened and who killed Alfred and his wife Sally?
What happened to Max Rich and who are those who seek to undo him?
