[IC - LA] The Los Angeles Times (Holly, Chris.)

A decade ago, a band of occult investigators battled against the summoning of an ancient and monstrous evil. They failed. Now you must piece together the puzzle and finish what they could not. The stakes are high, and so is the price to pay. Can you do it?

Christopher writes the police Captain's name down in his notebook alongside he writes who does he report to? he wrack's his brain, he vaguely remembers Clarence saying that there was another detective that seemed to take an interest in what he and Ian were talking to Detective Fowley. So, assuming that Pizner isn't 'spinning them a line' it would be logical to assume that Captain Walker was tipped off via this detective, or even by Fowley; this is a disturbing turn of events, if the LA Police Department were able to be co-opted by their 'enemy' then Christopher and his fellow investigators had better be very careful.

"So... how come you ended up following us.. neither of us visited the Police.." he asks.

"Report on phone, person... it depends", he shrugs, speaking a little sluggish, "Followed the two men to the hotel. Then picked up the woman and the academic. Weaker."

Christoper nods as Pizner replies; "OK.. so you said we could 'come to an agreement', something about some cash... do you have that here?" Christopher asks.

OOC:   We're going to have to put this guy out of action... could we get him to phone Captain Walker and say that he's getting us to quit town (that might buy us some time)? Or that he's been tailing us and managed to 'over hear' or travel plans and we're going to drive to 'Frisco and he's going to continue to follow us to make sure we leave. Something like that to buy us time.

Oh and get hold of that cash too ... could be handy...

As to getting Pizner out of the picture...
 • keep Pizner 'zonked out' - buy some booze, get Pizner into his car, leave it somewhere that will definitely get him arrested.... double parked somewhere.

Holly can't help but smirk when he says they were weaker. A short time ago, she might have agreed with his assessment, but she has come to realize just how much she's capable of doing. "When you meet in person, where do you meet him?" she asks. "What is his telephone number?"
OOC,He said earlier that Walker is not with the police, though that detective (or someone else at the station) is most likely on his payroll. Your plan does sound good for getting him out of the way.

"Meet at my office, usually", he says, then mumbles some numbers that you realize should be Walker's phone number.

"Of course... your office, where is that again?" Crhistopher asks... wondering why he didn't think of asking that beforehand.
OOC:   OOC, whoops you're right... sorry missed that but of info.

"How much have you learned so far about the people you're following?" asks Holly. "How much of that have you already reported back to Walker?"

Christopher pauses at Pizner's words, a drug dealer and interested in anyone who's asking after events concerning 'the farm's and by extension Echivaria and his degenerate cult.

"Drug dealer... does the word Nectar mean anything to you?" he asks.

Christopher looks over at Holly "Is he still under? That answer was more lucid than the others." Christopher steps back and picks up his automatic-pistol, suddenly more wary.

Holly nods. "Yes, but I'm not sure how long it lasts," she whispers back. She addresses Pizner again. "Do you know anything about a man named Buchwald?"

"First time I hear that name, Miss", Pizner answers. He's still tied, and under the effect of the serum, but it looks like he's slowly returning to reality.
