OOC Chat

A decade ago, a band of occult investigators battled against the summoning of an ancient and monstrous evil. They failed. Now you must piece together the puzzle and finish what they could not. The stakes are high, and so is the price to pay. Can you do it?

I'd forgotten all about the letter. Unfortunately, I won't have time to write one anytime soon.

Hello everyone! I thought I should probably post an obligatory greeting in the OOC topic.

Thanks Carnage! Your username sounds like the stage name of the lead singer in a Heavy-metal cover band. :)

Btw, I meant that as a compliment.

Hi, I'll be taking over playing Cam. I hope that I can do him justice, I've really enjoyed reading HoneyDog's posts.

I've read the diary and all of the Mexico threads where Cam was present, plus a few little bits of earlier threads to fill in the details, but I've still got a lot to read through to know the stuff that Cam knows - so apologies if I get anything mixed up. :)

This game's a really great read by the way. :)

It's great to get chance to play on a game with you. :)

And I've never actually played Trail of Cthulhu, despite buying it practically as soon as it came out.

This game was my first introduction to Trail too.
Now I'm in two trail games - the other one being Matt Sanderson's group for the play-test of the upcoming campaign 'The Poison Tree'.

It's a very nice system and works extremely well in 'Cthuluhu' games - I think a lot of people (myself included) thought that Gumshoe games would spoil things handing out clues left right and centre - but that's not the case at all.

I've a couple of OOC questions.

1) Would you mind if Cam's drive was switched to Duty? I don't think he's been played as much of a follower (I've only read posts since HoneyDog took over), and I can understand him getting into trouble in the army easier if some others didn't share his sense of duty than if he had the follower drive.

2) Is there any chance you could fix some of the old missing handouts? None of the links in the diary work any more. :?

1) Yes, no problem.

2) I'll try to recover the original stuff, some of that I made on my own and I'm not sure if I still have it either materially or as a digital copy (actual years have passed in the meantime). If I don't, I'll put up the relevant information, at least.

So, I have recovered the old material and will proceed to upload it again during the weekend. I'll also post the new topic as you move to Leticia's apartment.

Cool. I'll try to post more frequently. Not sure if everyone saw this yet, but I have exams on around this time period and can't be very active.

I have re-uploaded the letters from Henslowe and inserted the new links in the Diary. In the coming weeks I'll check the rest of the links and fix what needs to be fixed. I'll also add the last developments to the summary there.

Managed to catch up at last!
But I'm going on vacation from the 26th for a couple of weeks and probably won't be in a position to post much, if at all during that time.
