Anna's yell attracts Hernado's attention. He waves and calls back. "Senoirs and Senorita!" He then holds the rifle up in the air to make sure you can see it. "If you try and climb out I will have to shoot you!" He then aims the rifle at you and fires a shot. It hit's several feet above your group. He then backs away from the lip of cenote and disappears.

"Sorry," he adds, forgetting Anna is there.
"Why is Hernado doing this?" the explorer wonders aloud. "Well eventually he'll have to sleep. We could try going up then. Otherwise we're sitting ducks climbing the rope up."

He may sleep then, and even if he's awake it would be hard for him to see us. The problem is that the bats will come out when it gets dark. We'll have to move to the other side of the cenote. Hernarndo's the one who said he didn't have a dream like the rest of us last night. Maybe he was lying. Maybe he did have one, and it got to him, drove him mad. He'd have to be mad to kill his own brother."

There is a thing that is strange. If he wanted to kill us, he didn't need to tell us, he just had to wait that we appeared and shoot when we were climbing. So, why shoot to the air? But you are right, we need to get out of here quick.

One of use can try to see if here is at least another smaller cave. If there is, we will go there, wait that the night passes and tomorrow we will get out. I volunteer to go explore the place.- says Percy

"I don't relish the thought of sleeping here," says David. "I think a better option would be to climb up after it gets dark, when Hernando is either asleep or at least less likely to see us. Still, we may find something of interest by continuing to explore down here in the meantime, while it's still light."
OOC,Did anyone get injured by the bats? We could use First Aid.

OOC: You did a quick search around the outer edge of the cenote and found the cave. You haven't found anything as big as the bat cave. Mostly small crevices and cracks. Nothing that you could crawl into.
Mitch has some superficial bites and scratches. Nothing that requires first aid.

"I wouldn't wait until dark," says David. "Those bats will be awake then, and when they come out hunting, they'll find us. Those gunshots may have disturbed them, but once they've gone back to sleep it should be safe enough in there as long as we don't make noise and alert them again."
