Rules and Posting

A book has been stolen and needs to be retrieved. A simple enough task, you think, as you get landed with the job. Or is it?

Rules and Rolls

Rules used are standard 6th edition except for Sanity (see below). The player may suggest any optional or house rules he wishes to be used for Keeper consideration.

The keeper shall be doing all dice rolls using Invisible Castle and posting the results in a

Posting Protocols

However player wishes and prefers. Active or passive voice, present or past tense, quoted dialogue or description of dialogue, 1st or 3rd person, etc. It is all the same as far as this Keeper is concerned. The following examples are all equivalents of describing the same action:

"Stop thief!" WIlliam cries out as he draws his revolver and takes a shot at the fleeing man.

William shouts at the thief ordering him to stop, seeing he doesn't the draws and fires his gun.

I yell at him to stop and draw by pistol to shoot him if he doesn't.

William shouted "Stop!" and drew his weapon. Taking aim he opened fire against the fleeing thief.

Etc... whatever the player is most comfortable with.

Non-narrative details, specifications, alternate courses of action, quick questions, etc should be written on a

Sanity

Bouts of Temporary Insanity will be determined using the 6th Ed random table. The type of duration (short or longer) will be determined using the 5th edition table.

Indefinite Insanity determination will also use a random table. First a 1d12 roll is made to determine a group of mental disorders then another die will be roled to determine the specific affliction.

The "1/5 of Sanity Points lost within an hour or less" required for the onset of Indefitine Insanity are calculated from the SAN stat itself, not the sanity points. For William Townsend this figure is 15,6 rounded to 16.

Finally, some Indefinite Insanities do not manifest themselves immediately but progressively. This tends to be especially true when the accrued sanity losses that lead to Indefinite Insanity do not include a Temporary Insanity event.
