A CONSPIRACY OF BROKEN MINDS
A play set between 1913-1919
“A dank conical mountain arises abruptly from the broadening plain.
Everywhere else the forest has thinned and the grass taken hold,
but on the slopes of the Mountain of the Black Wind a dark and lurid green forest persists.
Here, the god of the mountain holds sway over nature.”
-Nigel Blackwell´s Manuscript (1916 draft)

Current date as the play begins is 6th June 1913

Rules set: CoC 5.6

Accepting players: Yes

This play will be following the main characters from Chaosium's Campaign "Masks of Nyarlathotep" - before a certain Carlyle Expedition is launched. We will discover the drives and reasons behind the characters' actions. In this version it's not sure that all main characters will make the expedition.
Something might get in the way.
As such, this is pretty much a What-If type of play.

This play is containing SPOILERS for the actual Masks of Nyarlathotep, even if the content within the play is not canon to the Lovecraftian/Chaosium lore.
Consider the facts and deductions of the play as fan-fiction.

Regards.

Considerable public and parliamentary alarm was caused, in 1912, by reports that an unknown airship, presumed to be German had flown over Sheerness in Kent on the night of October 14th. This event which not only highlighted Britain's lack of air-defences also lead to the establishment of Government Investigation Section 19 (G-19) by the First Lord of the Admiralty, Winston Churchill.

Sir Laurence Wilkins appointed head of this new section in January 1913.
